When Snow White was speaking with Regina in the EF flashback, she said she learned her hunting skills from someone in another forest. That’s got to be Sherwood Forest, where she met and spent time with Robin Hood and his fellows bandits. Makes sense.

Or she could be talking about Red, whose Granny fires crossbows and who did teach her tracking skills.

But I’m on board with her also taking lessons from Robin.

I thought she was talking about Red since she was specific about hunting. She seemed a little sheepish about the way she said it as well, as though there was a sort of joke or slightly embarrassing part to the story. It would be funny to learn about hunting and tracking from a werewolf.

It’s definitely plausible that she learned her bandit skills from Robin!

I was pretty sure that Snow was talking about Robin Hood. Red might have taught her a lot about tracking and had some skills with a longbow too (she was carrying a longbow when they were following the tracks of the wolf in the snow, just saying because handling a crossbow like Granny has is something quite different, crossbow is easier, takes less strength, easier to aim), but I doubt that the writers could resist making this connection between Hood and Snow. Even less after they just introduced him past week. 😆

Edit: Don’t think that Red is from another forest, or that Snow would think of her that way.

Agreed. Red and Granny are in the Enchanted Forest, which is the heart of Snow’s kingdom. Robin Hood very specifically lives in the separate location of Sherwood Forest, so I’m pretty sure that’s what Snow was referencing.

Keep in mind Snow wasn’t wearing her hunting outfit or even had her hunting gear back when she met Red. I am willing to bet that timeline wise, Snow runs into Red briefly after the Huntsman lets her go. Following her time with Red, Snow likely met Robin Hood and briefly joined his band of merry men. Robin Hood teaching her those skills makes sense.

I was against this idea at first because it didn’t make sense timeline wise in my head, but I’ve come around to it. I do think it has to be Robin Hood and if the events take place before Lacey, then Robin has his bow. I hope we get that story someday.

Good idea! I assumed she meant Red but as you said – Red and Granny are in the Enchanted Forest. Sherwood is different, and Snow was gender neutral – she learned from “someone” in another forest. I’m on board with Snow learning from Robin Hood. Red taught her to track, but from what we saw of her in the two Red centric episodes, she wasn’t much chop with general banditry.

Also, I totally thought that was Robin Hood saving Regina from the executioner’s block until about halfway through the action. Is keeping the costumes very similar a clue?

I totally thought it was Robin Hood too.

I look forward to hearing the story of Snow and Robin Hood.
