ParticipantI had a thought, what if Snow and WW were switched at birth?
It would throw up the nature vs nurture debate which has already been hinted at with David and James and to an extent with Henry.
What if Eva went to sneaky fairy to swap the children? Sneaky Fairy was Eva’s “confidant” and Eva kept her association with Blue Fairy a secret. Johanna wasn’t supposed to know.
The term “Confidant” seems a bit odd to describe BF if she and Eva were friends. I looked it up on google and it means “a person with whom one shares a secret or private matter, trusting them not to repeat it to others.” What if the secret was that Eva’s baby was born green (Perhaps because of something Cora did) so Eva asked BF to swap it for another? It’s unlikely Leopold would’ve been there for the birth so he would’ve seen the new baby later. Eva could’ve switched the baby before he saw it.
As TheWatcher said in chat, “fairies were known to swap children in some tales. But they swapped them with their own children for whatever reason. Changelings were the name”. Since the Once fairies aren’t allowed to fall in love or have children, fairy children would be in short supply. However, BF has been shown to do some morally questionable things if it was for “the greater good”. What if Blue saw switching the babies as necessary for the “greater good”?
WW could be mad at Regina for killing Leopold, and by extension, Cora’s killing of Eva. Also Snow was present when WW supposedly said “sister”. We all thought it might be Regina but what if that was a misdirection?
WW may feel some sort of “kinship” to Snow because she may feel they’re sisters since Snow was raised by Leopold and Eva and they’re WW’s biological parents. Also WW may feel a sense of betrayal if her “sister” is seen to side with the enemy (Regina).

KeymasterSometimes I think we’re more creative than A and E
My big issues with this idea:
–Snow looks *exactly* like Eva
–Snow and WWW look nothing alike–from what we can tell
–Fairies do those things @TheWatcher was talking about but we’ve had no indication that they do it *here*
–As always, what would the casual viewer think?

Pretty much all of this. Suddenly making Snow not the biological child of Eva and Leopold sounds too retcony. The WWW actually resembles Cora a lot more, while she doesn’t resemble Eva and Leopold at all. So if the WWW is related to anybody, I feel being related to Regina’s family makes more sense.

ParticipantThat might explain why Charming has his arms around Snow as if he’s protecting her in the shots we saw where WWW is confronting them in Storybrooke.
But it’s possible the changeling could have been from the Black Fairy.
Interesting that according to Wikipedia, one of the signs of a changeling is green tinted skin.
I’ve been looking foreward to a switched at birth or changeling story. But my gut says Rumple knows all about www. He needed Cora’s firstborn to cast the curse so he could find Bae, and he needed Www to release him from whatever state he’s in.

ParticipantIf anyone was switched at birth, I’d say it was Regina and WW who were swapped. Baby “Regina” has blue eyes and red hair which matches Rebecca Mader’s appearance to a tee! By contrast, Lana Parrilla’s appearance is very Latino with dark hair and brown eyes.
At first, I always thought that the baby used in “The Miller’s Daughter” was just mismatched by accident because no other baby could be found, but now I wonder if it was a deliberate casting decision. It would be incredible if baby “Regina” is really the WW!

Well, all babies are born with blue eyes.
Also, Cora had red hair that got darker as she got older. The same could be said for Regina. She started off with Cora’s red and it just changed to black over time as she aged.

ParticipantI by the idea that it was Blue “Her confidant” that Eva gave up her first born too, because she thought a good fairy Godmother would make sure the child was put in a good place and taken well care of-
I love the fact that that ties in the old folklore of fairies being baby snatchers- “Come with me oh -human Child -to the Waters of the Wild” <3 <3
But I believe it was Regina that was Evas first born and that she was the baby that Wicked (first born of Cora) was switched with. This could be the story where we see Rumple and Blue working together on a baby switching scheme, because I think it was Rumple that took Coras baby.
and yeay! for Slurpeez for seing the light 😉 or mabe you have seen it for a long time, but I felt pretty alone in thinking that the baby in Coras arms in the ‘Millers Daughter” ep. was Wicked.
