So Emma and Hook?

True she only had two scenes with Captain Hook, but with other characters, there was always a form of chemistry that quickly occured. With this, she seemed just wary and ready to kill him if he tried anything dangerous. And he seems pretty intent on revenge–it is probably all he has thought about for centuries. I don’t know if that’s fair to say there’s no chemistry yet; for Rumple & Belle they at least had some time alone together, same with Charming and Snow this next episode is where we’ll see how much chemistry is there. I agree about the respect thing for being able to get the truth out of him and throw the knife thing in there as well. Also the “Oh so you’ve heard of me” quip I thought was good too. How bout the “you never forget your first” line from the promo I think there’s gonna be some chemistry and some fun flirting going on between them. If it’ll go anywhere we’ll find out pretty quick but I think it’s a fun idea and it’s a way to go to very interesting places.

Fair point–all the couples on the show have had more screen time together. Snow WhitexPrince Charming, BellexRumpelstiltskin, ReginaxDaniel, and GrumpyxNova. But considering how this man also worked for Cora (and allowed her to kill the group of survivors) and how Emma’s main concern is her parents and Henry, the last thing on her mind would be to fall for Captain Hook. I agree that in the promo he did seem to flirt with her. 😆

His intent seems to be revenge–he probably is just going to gain her trust so that he can make off with the compass.

I don’t think Snow and Charming’s intent was finding their true loves on that trip to the troll bridge, or an even better example I don’t think Rumple had concerns of winning over Belle since he had his centuries old goal of finding a way to get back to his son ( he did declare to the Blue Fairy “I will love nothing else”) or Belle had the intention of falling for Rumple who threw her in a dungeon and who started off really as a prisoner. But what happens? That annoying prince saves you from getting your heart torn out, or that thieving outlaw princess saves you from a bunch of trolls fast-forward and the EQ has to save her mirror from tongue marks! One day your trying to open up a curtain that’s been nailed shut but the beast that took you captive catches you when you fall, makes you laugh and next thing you know your locking lips with The Dark One! So with that yup right now Emma’s going up a beanstalk with the cunning, conniving pirate, but who knows one harrowing journey alone together and he could become the misunderstood swashbuckler who mother Snow’s disproval of makes him so much more appealing 😆

Even if Hook isn’t her true love, don’t mean the girl can’t enjoy the view. 🙂

We didn’t see enough of Hook/Emma to really judge if there was chemistry – they were barely introduced to each other. I’m guessing there will be chemistry…and soon. As for SwanFire…I wouldn’t put it past the writers to create a love triangle, very similar to what they did in Lost. How many times did Kate swing back and forth from Jack to Sawyer? I can see Emma starting some sort of “relationship” with Hook this season, only to run into Bae (at the end of the season?) and throw us all for a loop. It will definitely get interesting romantic-wise, but I don’t think Emma’s love story will be as straightforward as her parents’.

After all that Captain Hook has done, I doubt she will find him that appealing–he may not have killed any of the survivors, but he certainly didn’t try to stop it, nor showed even remorse for what happened to them. I think there will be bantering back and forth, and Captain Hook will probably flirt with her–she is attractive, he is apirate, and flirting can be used as a form of distraction–but I doubt much will happen. 🙂

The note the reporter put after that made me do some Olympics-level eyerolling. “Sound the love interest bells”. Uh, how about that was incredibly non-descript? Why does interesting back and forth have to mean love-interest? Men and women can have interesting dialogue not based on sex/love.

But we haven’t even seen him do anything really wrong, I’m really not convinced of how evil he is so far.
