G’day all.
After lurking and reading and obsessively checking for spoiler news, theories and discussion, I finally cracked and went “I want to respond to that post!” (and did so – in The Name of the Brother subforum)
Australian metalhead knitting criminal lawyer who is loving Once so much I’m watching every episode online as soon as I can, as Aussie tv will take absolutely forever to get around to showing it (and then it’ll show it all over the place!)
Probably should have read some of these intros to get an idea of what most people say but at a random guess…
Favourite Once character: Red for sassiness, Charming and Hook for eye candy, Frankenstein for interest and Rumplestiltskin for everything – I love that he’s a total bastard to everyone yet still comes out seeming saner and nicer than Regina (or Cora).
Favourite theme or storyline: totally over Snow/Charming losing/finding each other again even though I do love watching them together. I like the plot about them taking the kingdoms over and find it slightly hilarious that post-curse breaking, Snowing have just decided to appoint themselves Heads In Charge Of Storybrooke (I guess the inhabitants were used to looking to them for guidance and decisions but still….) I think my favourite twisting of the tale is Frankenstein, partly because I love the original Mary Shelley book.
Who is Baelfire? Neal. Totes onboard that theory.
Captain Swan? I can dig it.
Is the Blue Fairy not as nice as she seems? Yep! It’s just all too convenient.
Biggest bugbear of season 2: where is August? I get that in practical terms, the producers are having difficulties with actor’s availability and stuff but… Gepetto seriously isn’t looking for him after the empty room? Emma hasn’t even vaguely considered that she should probably check up on the guy that actually did pick her out of a tree, and ask some questions about how he got to Puket….. (if Neal is Bae, and he finds out, damn I hope he puts Papa onto the puppet for debt collection!)

I agree totally with you about August. Somebody should try to find him. Ok, if the actor is not available. They can not find him, but looking would be realistic. Don’t get me wrong I don’t like August, because of Talahassee I want that Neal punch him in the face and I want to know what is in the box.
Neal is also for me Bea.

We have a lot in common when it comes to Once. I too just joined because I just had to post on something after lurking for about 2 weeks. 😆 I’ve acquired a lot of posts since then (2 days ago) because I just can’t shut up…
