Rewatching this episode for the 10th time.

It just occurred to me that the seer kinda-sorta-ish hinted that Rumple wouldn’t die on the battlefield, because they would still meet again in the future.

Great catch! Maybe Rumple should’ve listened more carefully to the seer.

Sigh, it make what Rumple have done even worst.

That’s one of the best catches yet from this episode! Rumple was too upset to think clearly apparently in those moments. I wonder if later Rumple caught the logic there before ranting about the pesky details years later. He was very naieve in the past, and hopefully his conversation with Henry shows that he’s learned something about the trickiness of prophecy and seeing the future… as the Seer predicted he would.

Yeah, I was thinking that too–she never said when, though.

Rumple’s clearly a highly intelligent person, but that feeds into his cowardice because he is such a quick thinker–he can picture and freak out about the ramifications of things too quickly even before he gains a Seer’s powers.

Excellent catch! I guess when someone spooky tells you stuff like how you’re gonna leave your newborn son fatherless, you’re not thinking clearly enough to pay attention to details like that.
