So ABC twitter for Once, created a hashtag for this Sunday #OneWillDie and the latest tweet,
but below makes it so obvious.
😆 I think it's a foregone conclusion that Cora will not survive after this episode. All the episodes after this one, Cora is not mentioned.
Thanks for the peek!!! I wonder why they are giving away the person who would be killed kind of ruins the surpise I think 😕

Yet it is, since we know Rumple survives. But for someone who doesn't watch spoilers, it may not be clear."That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. When you leave it, there’s this feeling that you can’t shake. You just miss it." Neal Cassidy
March 8, 2013 at 7:43 pm #178258PanTheManParticipantI’m beginning to think that it’s not the death in this episode that is supposed to shock us or make our jaws fall off. I’m thinking the way the death comes about will be what shocks us, which makes me think Snow will have a hand in the death.
March 8, 2013 at 7:53 pm #178261MatthewPaulModeratorI also feel like ABC is trying to misdirect us by overhyping the possibilities of who will die in the episode, when in reality it is likely just Cora who bites it.
March 8, 2013 at 10:36 pm #178293raulybarraParticipantThat kind of misdirection/tease might work with the casual watcher that just tunes in on Sundays, but the hardcore fandom has been discussing this for some time.
Of course, their goal may be more focused on getting the Twitter chatter up — which is always a good thing. That’s actually something which has surprised me a bit. I’ve seen a lot of overlap between Once fans and Fringe, yet Twitter is rather quiet in comparisons. I sorta miss the mass watching with all the running commentary, etc.

I agree that the casual fans are easily misdirected but it’s the other random, non-hyped moments that still manage to surprise the hardcore fans. Looking forward to seeing what curveball they throw us next.
I think the problem is…as much as they want people to tweet about stuff, some of us (on the east coast especially) can’t really do so without spoiling it for our west coast friends. I’d love to be able to comment and use their hashtags (I did for the end of Fringe), but some of them are just so…spoilery!

Hey, you can share them with me I am on mtn standard time only 2 hrs behind you Eastern people.
March 8, 2013 at 11:28 pm #178310MatthewPaulModeratorI’m surprised none of the hype or promotion has even brought up that this is the episode where we FINALLY see Once’s take on the traditional Rumplestiltskin story. I mean yeah the dagger and someone dying is a big deal, but this particular flashback has been long overdue.
March 8, 2013 at 11:37 pm #178315raulybarraParticipantMysteryKat, It’s not just the east coast. Central and Mountain time also got the same feed as you. I had a lot of west coast Fringe fans as well. There seemed a pretty standard unspoken protocol. Those who didn’t want to be spoiled would clear out before the show started and those of us in the in the other three time zones would wrap up any spoilery talk within a half hour of the show’s end. If the conversation would continue, we’d either take it to DM’s or to a private chat system.
Even the cast and crew would be online and involved in the conversations at times. When they were, they always had the grace to be around for both showings. The ones who had a bit of a harder time were the international fans, though I understand that the hardcore fans had “arrangements” to watch live with us in the US.
It wasn’t planned or agreed to, but something that just made sense and people did on their own. I never saw complaints on Twitter, the forums or on the podcasts. At one point, there was decent Twitter chatter on Once, but it seemed to be a lot of Fringe crossover.
I’ve been tempted to do something like my old Fringe running commentaries just to try and get that live community action going again. It was a fun group online.
