I’m really wondering what the relationship with Emma and Charming is gonna be like, they weren’t more than acquaintances in season one, and I’m not really sure if Emma knows what he did to save Emma when she was a baby. Charming and Henry have really bonded as have Snow and Emma, Henry was really close to Mary Margaret already but Charming and Emma that’s one loose end I’m really wondering about. Also since Emma’s still sheriff does that make her dad her deputy now?

It took a little while for Emma to accept Snow as a mother figure, and she hasn’t been around Charming as much, so it stands to reason that she should have to go through a similar process with him. I’d sorta love to see Snow get frustrated by Emma taking her time to accept him.
I suppose though, that if Emma knows all the details: that when she was only a few minutes old, her father ran through the castle with her in one arm, sword in hand, and very nearly died in his effort to save her, that’s something that would speed up the bonding process. Knowing that her father was willing to give up his own life for hers, and almost actually did, that’s sort of an overwhelming thing.

This may seem weird but a lot of the times the things Emma or Charming say or do I can see the other saying or doing. I hope they set it up to where they’re working together in the Sheriff’s office I think that could be fun. I know Emma had that flashback of when she was put in the wardrobe but I think it could be interesting to see her hear that story from him. I think Snow is gonna try and help them bond and I can see them moving forward in their relationship with in a very similar very awkward way.
December 11, 2012 at 10:25 am #164502SlurpeezParticipantI think the major thing that happens to the Charmings, in addition to Cora and Hook being in town, is the arrival of the outsider, Barrett, (which I think is also to do with King George standing trail for Gus’ murder and botched frame-job on Red). Barrett, who has a dark side which he tries to justify, sounds like he could stir up trouble.
I am really looking forward to seeing Charming and Emma interact. Yet, I’m not sure how much we’re going to see them interact right away. There are new BTS shots of Charming and Snow, along with 7 dwarves and Ruby, pulling someone out of a hole. It looks like Emma and Henry are out of town, because Charming is wearing a sheriff badge, so he may be the acting sheriff or deputy while Emma is away. Maybe she's off finding Mr. Gold's son and Henry is with her. 😀 http://vancityfilming.com/articles/once-upon-a-time-get-out-of-a-hole/

When the bottom falls out for Hook and Cora’s plan of cooperation (and, it will), it’d be interesting if defeating a villan is what brings Emma and Hook onto the same team (once he gets over his “revenge” tangent).

I doubt Barret has anything on Cora and Hook. Being a trouble maker doesn’t equal the kind of power that Cora has. Even Hook has developed some magical talents (ripping out hearts). I still think Cora and Hook are the main villains of season 2, and the “heroes” will end up teaming up with Rumpel and Regina to defeat them. The Charmings will probably come to view Rumpel and Regina as a necessary evil. The Charmings are always coming to Rumpel for help, and they’re beginning to warm up to Regina. Now, whether not that lasts is yet to be seen, but I still think Cora and Hook are the ones to beat this season.

Yes, I agree. Necessary evil is the appropriate term for that particular alliance. But then again, I can’t help but notice that the Charmings have always had an on/off alliance with Rumpel. So asking him for help would be rather easy. Hopefully, Regina will remain on the right path and continue to earn the trust of the Charmings.
I just really want Rumpel to destroy Cora. That woman scares the crap out of me. 😆
December 11, 2012 at 3:36 pm #164532thebeeParticipantYeah, Cora is pretty evil. I think she scares the crap out of Hook, too. That’s why I think he was so willing to work with Emma in the very beginning, and why Cora accused Hook of choosing “her”. He wants revenge on Rumpel yeah, but he also wants to get away from her!

I can’t shake the feeling that Barrett with have some sort of connection to Neal’s life.
