Something I don’t like from the Canadian Clip
Look at the Canadian Clip. I don’t know at what point, but look at what Emma’s holding when she says “He’s gone”. Is that Milah's shawl?

If so, it sounds like Hook died in that car accident.

There's been a big downplay on Hook here lately. K&H have barely said two words about him, and it looks like they're trying to divert everyone's attention away form him. I mean the man was hit by a car, and that scene wasn't even in the previews for the next episode? Instead, we get poor persecuted Belle (again).
At Vancity.com's website (Look for the Once Upon A Time archive), Emma and Henry are nowhere around for “Tiny”. O'Donoghue is, but I bet he was filming flashbacks for “the giant”. In #14, Emma, Henry, and Rumple are on their way to get Bae, and the shawl was needed for them to find Bae.
This further supports my theory. Hook's dead.

They won’t kill off Hook this early in the game.

Hook is safe until they do a Neverland flashback. He is one of the main characters of his story alongside Peter Pan, unlike The Huntsman who was a minor character in the story of Snow White, They wouldn’t bring in a character such as Hook, hype him up, and then not really do much with him. The role he has played so far could’ve been done with any fairytale character. There is a reason why they chose Hook of all people.

If you read the synopsis for 2×12, you’ll find out that Hook survived, since Dr. Whale tends to Captain Hook’s wounds.

“In the Name of the Brother” (January 20): Dr. Whale is tasked with mending Hook’s wounds and performing surgery on the stranger whose car crashed upon entering Storybrooke. But some of the townspeople fear that the stranger may have seen magic — which could expose their true identities to the world — and think that leaving him to die would be the best solution. Meanwhile, as Mr. Gold tries to reunite with a despondent Belle, Cora attempts to reunite with daughter Regina; and in the land that was, Victor desperately wants to prove to his disapproving father that he can, indeed, bring back the dead. Ethan Embry will guest star in this episode as well.

Belle witnessed Rumple doing magic in her memory free state so it’s not necessarily just outsiders that the town have to worry about. Sneeezy and now Belle are in their storybrooke personas and aren’t necessarily aware of magic.

Also, if everybody has two lives in their heads (Storybrooke and fairytale land) and are both, surely one personality is more dominant than the other? As the “true” personality, wouldn’t the fairytale land personality eventually begin to come through over time. We saw Snow’s personality emerge briefly when Mary Margaret kicked Jefferson out of the window to protect Emma in Hat Trick.

A thought that occured to me was that Jefferson and Rumple have something in common. Both know what it is like to remember their fairytale selves yet have a loved one who doesn’t know who they are. Jefferson had Grace in season 1 whilst Rumple has Belle in season 2.
