I know it sounds crazy but I’ve been re-watching some episodes and something seems a little off with Mulan. The first thing I noticed was in “Lady of the Lake” when Mulan is sent by Cora as Lancelot to accompany Emma and Snow. Now that could be because she didn’t want her there to be able to defend the haven when Cora would return to slaughter all of the survivors. Also maybe Cora just wanted to make sure they’d survive the trip to lead her to the wardrobe. Also it seemed pretty strange that Mulan would show up deflect one fireball and have Cora just leave. The last episode “The Doctor” again raised my suspicions, when Hook is revealing information about Cora, Mulan is pretty quick to want to leave him to be Ogre chow seems weird after what she told Aurora about confusing vengeance and justice. It could be that Mulan was attempting to silence Hook on behalf of Cora… I’d really hate for Mulan to be working with Cora but something just seems a little off.
Then there's the theory about this photo that Emma and Snow in this picture are impostors
If they are impostors the first choice is that it's Hook and Cora posing as Emma and Snow but what if it's Mulan and Cora? After spending so much time together Mulan would have all the inside information on Emma and Snow's family in Storybrooke.

In the promo for next week, It looks like she's ready to chop down the beanstalk, leaving Emma and Hook stranded up there. If she's working for Cora, and Cora needs the compass they went to get, it'd make no sense for Mulan to be chopping down that beanstalk.

I know that’s why these couple of little things are bugging me
ok but if Cora doesn't absolutely need the compass and wanted to get just get rid of Hook ( for failing to fool them) and Emma it would make sense for Mulan to chop down the beanstalk

I think she does really need that compass though, because she told Hook that the sparkly dirt wasn't gonna be enough to get them to SB, and we know she's gonna end up on his boat, and boats are steered by reading bearings on a compass.

I think sometimes we fans try to make things more complicated and twisty than they actually are. I know my mind’s gone down a few rabbit holes thinking and theorizing about this show. 😉

Oh, who’s the one Asian princess? Mulan! Let’s just bring her in. That’s one meta-reason I don’t think she’ll turn out to be a traitor. I do hope they start doing something with her character, though…

It’s curious though how now Mulan would be the only one alive who could vouch for his story.
