Rumple and Henry are going to be cute together.

😮 I was previously under the impression that as far as Mr. Gold knew, his son went to a land without magic and that was it. When I first read this spoiler, I thought Mr. Gold simply meant that his son has been lost for a long time. On second thought, however, it sounds like Mr. Gold has been trying to track his son’s whereabouts and has known all along his son was running from him for a long time.
Now that other tweet about Mr. Gold wanting to surprise his son makes more sense. Perhaps he’s tried making contact with Baelfire before now but never was able to get his son to talk to him, which is why he needs Emma to do it for him. 💡
This is why he needs her to do this particular favor for him. It’s not just that Emma is good at finding people. She is the only one who could possibly get through to Baelfire, because she is also Neal’s one true love!"That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. February 12, 2013 at 8:07 pm #172771RumplesGirlKeymasterSo you’re suggesting that Rumple knew Emma and Nealfire have a history?
Also, the fact that Nealfire has been running for a long time might lend some credence to the idea that he is Nealfire Pan and was in Neverland for quite some time and is recently in our world: like 28 years recent."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"February 12, 2013 at 8:13 pm #172772SlurpeezParticipant@RumplesGirl wrote:

Yes, that is what I’m suggesting. I think that part of the prophesy that the seer tells pre-dark Rumple is that he’d have a son, he’d lose that son, but then a savior would reunite them. I doubt Rumple knows the entire story though like Henry is Neal’s son.

Yes! I was hesitant to bring up this theory here since it’s been posted in other threads, but I agree with you. Neal being on the run really does fit in nicely with him being Peter Pan. A hint in this direction is from season 1 when Emma told Henry in 1×9 “True North” that his dad really liked pumpkin pie (think Peter, Peter Pumpkin Eater nursery rhyme) and why Emma really wanted her code name to be “pumpkin” in 1×4 (not my theory, but I really like it). I’m not saying that Emma knows any of this, because really, before she came to SB, fairytales were all make-believe to her, but they were likely clues from the producers/writers to us about the true identity of Henry’s father.

February 12, 2013 at 8:25 pm #172774angiebelleParticipantI would rather that Rumple not already know about Neal and Emma because I am anticipating a great reveal scene in which Rumple realizes he has a grandon. I would feel very disappointed if he already knew.
I greatly dislike the Peter Pan theory. I don’t think Bae needs to be anyone else, and him ending up in Neverland discredits the whole point of the curse. I think it makes more sense that he has been in our world the whole time, therefore a kindred spirit to Emma. I want Peter to be his own character…Bae’s personality doesn’t fit Peter anyway. I just can’t see him being all cocky and seeking adventure and danger and childish.

Well just to point this out: He was a fairly cocky thief hijacking a car when we met him. And wanted for stealing watches. He and Emma talked about stopping their adventures and moving to Tallahasse.

Have to agree he was very cocky and flirtatious in those first scenes…his personality seemed to really have a wide range…he’s very different in the hotel scene…much more serious and thoughtful and even by the time he talks to August he seems to be showing a different side….his jealousy comes out when he finds out that August knows Emma…”How do you know Emma?!” and then comment about being the best thing that ever happened to Emma seems to show his arrogance…then of course we see his pain in those scenes as well. Anyway though I don’t lean towards the Peter Pan theory I certainly wouldn’t discount it.
February 12, 2013 at 9:02 pm #172784RumplesGirlKeymasterWHOA! Now let’s talk about THAT!!! Fathered by a coward. So Rumple became papa. Like Regina became Cora. Spinsters woman who never married, so he wasn’t raised by his mother, I’m thinking. Maybe aunts?

February 12, 2013 at 9:17 pm #172789RumplesGirlKeymasterMaybe his mother died in childbirth and his father was never around or actually LEFT Rumple. If so, it would make motherhood a really noble endeavor in Rumple’s mind as well as being a good father. So when Milah becomes like she was in “The Crocodile” it’s a real slap in the face because Rumple was a good papa Pre-Dark One and Milah loved her son, but did leave him, something that happened to Rumple so he understood it. And then he went and did exactly what his father did. Oh man. Issues, guys. Issues.
