She’s holding a long contract and quill pen, so the comparison to Cinderella really resonates with what I’m seeing. I agree that is the 1st thing that I thought of too.
Totally agree with not wanting any father/daughter connection between Rumple and Regina. That would have multiple levels of creepy for me. Definitely too far. Yes, this is just sick in my opinion.
This would end the show for me if this is the case!!! : 👿

Also, I think Cora and Rumplestiltskin were involved romantically, but that doesn’t necessarily mean Rumple is Regina’s father. At the same time, I wouldn’t rule that out either with these writers. Not saying I’d approve, but it could be that Rumple is Regina’s birth father without being aware of it, since I don’t believe he’d ever knowingly mistreat his own child. It’s already so sad that Rumple mistreated Regina, and it’d be doubly tragic if she were his daughter.

Regina should be Ursala if any current character is going to be here BUT I could see Rumple or Cora playing that roll now. As for that contract, maybe it’s when she makes a trade her first born for power.

I think Ursula will remain her own character and half-squid, hence the “squid ink.”

I’m inclined to agree. I think that unlike episodes like “A Desperate Soul” and “The Stable Boy” where we find out who are “villain” was before they went Dark Side, we’re going to learn that Cora has always been power hungry and manipulative.

It would be nice for a change to see a “villain” who has always had a dark side or bit of one. It doesn’t have to mean that person was completely evil to fit with the show’s theme about how people aren’t born evil, but I don’t think it has to mean that everyone was completely innocent like Rumple and Regina were shown to be either before they turned to the Dark Side.
Also, I don’t actually mind unlike some Rumbelle fans if Rumple and Cora did have a relationship beyond just flirting, but just no Regina as his real child.

I agree. I don’t think Rumple having some sort of prior relationship with Cora takes away from Rumbelle at all. If anything, I think it will just highlight the difference between the relationships and that will be all in Belle’s favor.
I really really hope they don’t make Rumple turn out to be Regina’s father. I try not to be critical of the writers until we’ve seen a full season or know where a storyline is going, but I will be so disappointed if this turns out to be true for all the reasons everyone has already listed. It just doesn’t make any sense based on how Gold/Rumple has always treated her, and I don’t think it’s realistic for him to not realize she was his. He knows who her mother is and would know when they were together, so I don’t know how he could not at least think she might be his daughter if it were a possibility.

Agreed. If I thought it could be done in a believable way, I wouldn’t be so against it, but it just does not compute, given what we already know. If Regina’s bio-dad ends up being someone other than HenrySr, my money is on it being George.
Any relationship verging on a personal nature between Cora and Rumple, I’d imagine would be mostly instigated by her. If she had a lust for power, even back then, not only would she have found Rumple sexy as all hell, but she’d have been conniving enough to try and make him vulnerable and break down his defenses so she could tap into more of the power he held. I can’t see Rumple letting someone break all the way through his walls though. He couldn’t afford to let himself be vulnerable, because he had to remain focused on his mission to find Bae. So I dunno how believable I’d find it if Corumple ended up in bed together. I certainly think she’ll try, but can’t imagine him giving in.
