Hm. Henry is such a resourceful kid that I’m almost willing to be he hiked to another bus stop. Or maybe just walked, because you’re right the bus never comes to SB.

According to Owen and Kurt (who didn’t come to town so much as the town came to them), the nearest “real” town was like a day or something’s walk. But back to the spoilers….I’m really curious if Tamara and Greg have other people they are in contact with about their agenda. Everyone has seen that idea tossed out now of the secret organization/government type thing, but what if that organization is actually run by magical world people, not necessarily FTL ones? Was the Dragon truly the only one of his kind in the “real world”?

April 27, 2013 at 3:27 pm #189140HappyEndingsSpectatorYou know I don’t thnk it is an orginiaztion/government plot to me that doesn’t make sense, I think it is just the two of them but I could be wrong. Unless it is Regina old gang that she brought togeter the1st time to activiate the curse 😆
April 27, 2013 at 3:34 pm #189141RumplesGirlKeymasterMy thought on the organization theory is something like this: if there is one that has employed GOAT then I think we can hazard a guess that they’ve had contact with magic before. They’d have to have almost definitive proof of these other lands and that magic exists out there somewhere. So, this idea I’ve been playing with, is that the leader of this organization is Dorothy (as in Oz). We know she’s already been to Oz before the Curse hit. Rumple sent Jefferson after the slippers but they eluded him. They’ve made many casual references to Oz this year, but it has been overshadowed by the even more obvious hints to Neverland. So, if there is some secret shadow organization that GOAT are working for, I think it’s run by Dorothy.
However, while that’s my one theory: I still think Tamara is the daughter or RH and Marian. But the two theories don’t need to be mutually exclusive. Someone is funding GOAT (at least Tamara). So why not have her be the daughter of RH AND be working for some shadow organization, potentially run by Dorothy of Kansas.

What if Tamara’s Grandmother was Mombi, the wicked witch of the south, who was defeated and deposed by Glinda and who got screwed out of her magic when she was exiled from Oz (I think in the Oz books she was turned into a rose and/or then exiled to the …

Over in the thread at https://oncepodcast.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=3729 we discussed an interesting fanfic at http://www.fanfiction.net/s/9119020/1/Growing-Up-in-Storybrooke which posits that Henry rode his bike to a nearby town to catch the bus. This conveniently explains why Henry has no bicycle despite having a wealthy mother. In the story, he lost his bike on the trip.
Since Ruby was waiting for the bus, I assumed that expecting buses that never come was just part of the curse. Emma was the one who observed that “Buses out of town don’t really happen.”
April 27, 2013 at 4:30 pm #189148HappyEndingsSpectatorWhat is Fic recs?
Is this just what people think or write short stores or what? No facts to back to support anything just people ideas huh ❓ 😕As for the bike idea he walked to catch the School Bus so where would he put his bike when catches the bus on the sidewalk?

Yes, these are stories written by fans. They have no official connection to the canon of the show and range from terrible and inconsistent with the show to beautifully written works that are carefully constructed to be consistent with not only the events seen in the show but the emotional themes of the show as well.
I was assuming he ought to have a bike for other times, even if he walks to school. After reading your comment, I just remembered that we did see Henry ride a bike in one scene – at the beginning of “Fruit of the Poisonous Tree”. I had forgotten about that scene until now. I don’t recall any other scene of him with a bicycle, though.

Mombi is kind of an obscure character in terms of general audience knowledge. She’s not in the classic Garland film verison that most people think of for the Oz stories. There was the more recent movie, I suppose, I haven’t seen it. I still think they would stay away from newer interpretations. I also think we won’t get a twist on say, Princess and the Frog, Tangled or Brave like, here’s Tiana, Rapuznel and Merida wandeirng about the way we met Aurora and Mulan. I could be wrong, but as it is there are bigger, more well-known characters and they barely have enough time to cover the stories they already have. On that note, I actually don’t mind if they mash together more characters, as they did with Ruby/Wolf or Rumpel/Crocodile/Beast. They could cover more ground.
So they said Tamara is not a FTL character….but I wonder if it is possible that Greg could be “mashed” into another well known character. (If he isn’t the homage to TRON as it is….).

in a show like ONCE, what does the side of good even mean? “Good” and “Bad” are such relative subjective terms on this show. We call Snow “good” but as evidenced this season, her heart is just as capable of becoming black as Regina’s who we might call “bad”
That’s what I love so much about this show. There is no good and bad, this isn’t black and white. And besides, who’s to say Dorothy of ONCE will resemble anything like the Dorothy of the movie or books. A and E take their own spin. They always have. They aren’t regurgiatating the oldies, and I don’t want them to. Give me a new interpretation.
And, furthermore, who is to say that Dorothy or her company are giving Tamara the orders? Maybe Tamara works for them but is taking her own path, seeking her own revenge for something and the company, and Dorothy are unaware. So they said Tamara is not a FTL character….but I wonder if it is possible that Greg could be “mashed” into another well known character. (If he isn’t the homage to TRON as it is….).
Emma isn’t an FTL character either, but she has connections to FTL. This is why I still think Tamara might be the daughter of RH and Marian, but was born here.
