I know it’s never actually mentioned in the films, but my first reaction to “Evil isn’t born, it’s made.” was Anakin Skywalker who later on became Darth Vader … It reminds me a lot of Regina.
Ooh, good one; I never would have thought of that. The creators have said that they’re big Star Wars fans, so it’s very possible that that’s what they were thinking about when including that line/concept (“Evil isn’t born; it’s made). If that is a reference to Darth Vader/Anakin then maybe Regina will be redeemed by an act of self-sacrifice too.

I seriously hope not. I don’t want to feel sorry for or like Regina. but I can see the SW reference.
How about…”there is another” and “he has a twin brother”.
Both refering to Leia. Except twin sister is used. There is another was first said by Yoda before he died. Twin sister/brother was said by Obi Wan to Luke and later by Vader to get Luke mad.
You can’t forget “help me Obi Wan you are our only hope”, something similiar was said in Skin Deep or was it The Shepard. maybe both.
How about the fact that most everyone wear a jedi-like cloak with a hood. Charming, Snow, Red, Granny, Rumple, Zoso, Cora even Emma has worn black jacket with hood that looks like a modern version of a cloak with a hood. Perhaps in indicates those who have magic. After all the force is magic in Star Wars Land and all Jedis have it whether they are Jedis or Dark Lords—Sith members. Dark Lord—-Dark One—-Dark Side….
Nah, the cloaks is just what was used back in the days. They had to cover their clothes with something if they didn’t want to get them dirty outside.
“There is another” is definitely an iconic Star Wars reference from Empire Strikes Back because you don’t know what Yoda is talking about until much later.
In the Pilot when Charming and Snow visit Rumple in his cell. The moment the two of them removes their hoods remind me of the Star Wars ep 1 to 3 whenever there are two Jedis about to confront an enemy prior to fighting. Ep1 Qui Gon Jinn and Obi Wan when they arrived in the Trade Federation ship to meet the Viceroy.
That’s a good one Charming. It does seem very like that scene in Phantom Menace.
