Mulan is one of my favorite Disney movies/heroines. I need backstory on the Once version… her travels with Phillip, her time in the Imperial Army… and where’s Shang?
Granny’s story would be awesome.
Also curious what happened with Gerhardt for the last 28 years.

Once has introduced so many characters in only 2 Seasons, but this has resulted in several storylines that can and should be further explored. Here are the storylines I would personally like to see expanded upon:
1. An origin story with King George and his wife. All we know is that George’s wife was cursed to never have children, so they had to resort to making a deal with Rumple for one of Ruth’s sons. Perhaps there is more to this story.
2. This is also related to King George, but it would be nice to see how he lost his kingdom to Snow and Charming. Obviously we know that Snow and Charming are successful, and Charming spared George’s life. It is likely Lancelot was still among them when this showdown occurred, so he too would have further character development
think this was shown in CRICKET GAME…. I do not think we will see Lancelot again.3. Well I mentioned Lancelot already, so might as well suggest that we see an origin story of his time serving King Arthur’s Knights of the Round Table.
If this occurs it will be in future seasons… I do not see this happening in this season.
4. I would like to see how Cinderella and Snow White met. We saw hints that they knew each other prior to the Cinderella’s wedding, and it would be nice to see Cinderella’s character more fleshed out in general.
5. Jefferson is a character who I really feel has been taken for granted by the writers. Following his initial appearance in “Hat Trick”, Jefferson and his hat have mainly just been used as a plot device. In “An Apple Red as Blood” he is merely used just to get Regina’s apple, in “A Land Without Magic” he is randomly used to free Belle, in “Broken” his hat is used to start off the whole “Emma and Snow trapped in the Enchanted Forrest storyline”, and in “The Doctor” he is used to tie Victor Frankenstein into the story. At least in “Lady of the Lake” we see him re-unite with his daughter, and in “The Doctor” we at least saw how he and Regina met. Jefferson has potential as a really interesting character, and there is definitely more to be explored with him. I would love to see how Jefferson got the hat in the first place, how he started working for Rumple, his time spent in OZ, and how he lost his wife.
I agree with you this would be a great story line… but the actor is not always available and his flash backs do not add to the over all arch. The writers have said they have an over all arch and a five year plan… only stories that add to the arch are going to be used. They also said they will bring in characters they found appealing when they were kids…. so we can hope they will revisit the HATTER as an interesting story.
6. I’m sure we’re all dying to see Hook’s time in Never-land. Pretty self explanatory.
7. Mulan has to be one of the most underdeveloped characters so far, so one story that would be nice to explore his Once’s take on her very own original story. The original story, of course, is how she impersonated a soldier in the army.
I am thinking this might occur later in the season as they have been casting people of Asian descent for a story in the future.
8. We’ve heard so many times about how Rumple was a coward during the Ogre War, and how he ran away from battle. It would be nice to actually see this story for ourselves, along with how he and Millah met. Millah claims she never “loved him”, but the question is why did she marry him to begin with?
This is another story they have coming up…
9. We know that Grumpy attempted to win back Nova, and was therefore imprisoned in King George’s castle. It would still be nice to see how this story actually played out with our own eyes.
This would be a filler story and I think that ship has passed… as of now I do not think the actress that portrayed Nova is available.
10. Aurora’s story is definitely something that needs to be explored. We have yet to see her character interact with Maleficent onscreen, for one. It has been stated by Adam and Eddie that Aurora’s mother was the original Sleeping Beauty that Regina referred to in “The Thing You Love Most”, so that is also something that would be neat to see. There is also Aurora and Mulan’s quest to bring Phillip back, which I’m hoping will be seen by the end of Season 2.
Is the actress who played Maleficent available?
11. What the heck happened to August? We all want to know what happened to August since he apparently woke up, and it makes no sense why he completely disappeared. I would even like to see more of August’s past, as there are a few unsolved questions concerning that too.
I think he disappeared because EION BAILY got a steady acting job on a cable show and is not available. I do not think it was in the original plans for him to disappear like this. Cable is good providing more jobs for actors and actresses; but that means they sometimes are not available to carry on continuing storylines if they are not hired as regulars.

If they have to introduce more characters, I hope they’ll do something with Mother Goose (like the old lady who lived in a shoe, Peter Peter, pumpkin eater, and Hickory Dickory Dock).
Remember when Charming made his speech to the crowd in “We Are Both”, he said “Live in the woods… live in a shoe if you like.” And the camera showed a woman in the crowd smiling as he said it. She didn’t look that old however, and I only saw two or three kids with her. But it made me wonder if that was a story we are going to see.

I would love to see something with Mulan and Shang! Im surprised he hasn’t come into the story yet.
February 6, 2013 at 1:43 am #171703bellaroseParticipantIf they make a reference to it then they’re more then likely to give it a backstory, but if I remember correctly she wasn’t very nice to her children.
“There was an old woman who lived in a shoe.”
By Mother Goose Mother Goose
There was an old woman who lived in a shoe.
She had so many children, she didn’t know what to do.
She gave them some broth without any bread;
And whipped them all soundly and put them to bed.(Probably the reason we only saw three kids)
I’d like to see more Jefferson and Grace, they’re probably off having some father daughter time but I want to see it.
Sydney Glass, is he still locked up, they know his innocent.
Some more of Cinderella’s life before she met Rumpelstiltskin.
And I said this in an earier post but August! where are you!
Good always wins < That's just what Rumplestiltskin wants you to think Keeper of Belle's Theme Music, The Queen of Hearts Maze, Cora's Missing Heart,Tiny's Golden Harp

I dont like how that jump around so much there are too many things that have gone unexplained.February 12, 2013 at 8:20 pm #172773leveskriaParticipantI would love to see Jefferson’s story especially his wife and possibly Alice assuming that they aren’t the same person.
