I really loved this episode.
I am glad that Hook was not able to completely win over young Bae, and I’m glad that they have shown us that Bae did already find out what happened to his mother.Regina, Rumple, and even Hook all took huge steps in the right direction! I adored that! Rumple and Hook finally calling a truce! “Are you done trying to kill me?”
I don’t ship SwanQueen, but I have to admit, I loved seeing them work together. I loved seeing all of them having a common goal.
Not sure how I feel about an evil Peter Pan, but I’m eager to learn more about why he wants Henry- and had his picture years before he was even born.
Belle remembers! <3 <3 <3 I *knew* they were bringing back the cup- as soon as they mentioned the stein for Sneezy! But I do wonder what would happen if a person's object was not a water holding vessel...
I cannot stop rewatching both RumBelle clips, but I’m very distressed over Belle being left behind. So much for my dream of Belle being more fully integrated with the main cast! *sob* But…she has at least been given an assignment…oh please, oh please Adam and Eddy…I beg of you…don’t forget her! Keep her an active part of the story! Let her come into her own if she must be separated!
But you know what? Rumple instructing Belle to protect the town means he cares! He isn’t expecting to return and actually cares what happens to the town! That warms my heart.

– Rumple calling out the convenience of the Blue Fairy, I really like her but it seemed like a funny little lampshade. Also, I can’t help but think it was a subtle set up to explore her true intentions, those theories of her being a villain all along may come true after all.
– Greg and Tamara escaping through the portal. I just thought it was a great moment, and I actually really like them.
– The Charmings preparing to die together, especially Emma’s teary “Mom? Dad?”. 😥Least Favourites:
– The damage to Storybrooke being reversed, I didn’t mind the destruction being stopped, but it would have been nice for the aftermath to remain.May 13, 2013 at 1:14 pm #193726swanning-offParticipantOK, favourites, in no particular order….
Hook’s final backflip, inspired by his guilt at handing Baelfire over to the Pan Gang, to help out.
Hook backstory generally and the puppy dog eyes…. swooning.
Charming punching Hook, has been coming for a while and was hilarious.
“Mum… Dad…” 🙁 I cried. Ugly crying. Gandalf “fly you fools” style crying (i.e. as in the sort of crying I did in the cinema first time I saw LOTR – even though I knew the books backwards and knew he wasn’t “dead” per se…. I ugly-cried!)
The Pan twist at the end…. ?!!! Awesome.
Grumpy helping Belle, even if it meant doing the Dark One a favour too. So sweet. And Chip returns!!! 🙂
Granny babysitting Henry, with a crossbow. Hells to the yeah!Things that were kind of uncool….
The additional backflip from Hook, in between the cafe and him coming back. OK, I know we needed a reason plotwise as to why they wouldn’t carry out the chuck-the-diamond-into-a-portal plan, but geez…. how many double crosses can he do?!
I’m going to say it again: unlike seemingly everyone else, I didn’t mind Belle being left behind. Maybe because I did a lot of board-trawling while waiting to find a stream of the finale to watch online, so I know it was coming. But largely because it means we will come back to Storybrooke, whether “we” as the viewers or “we” as the Charming-Mills-Rumplestiltskin convoluted family tree.
May 13, 2013 at 1:18 pm #193730angiebelleParticipantI was expecting to feel a bigger sense of urgency and danger about the trigger. It almost seemed too easy to stop it. I agree that perhaps we should have seen more damage rather than everything getting reversed, but I’m so glad they didn’t destroy Storybrooke all together. That would have been so sad!
I will be ok with Belle being left behind as long as she isn’t left *out* and we still get to keep up with what she is up to!

I’ve said this other places but it’s too many balls in the air. Now we’ve got:
FTL of the past
FTL of the present with MAP and Neal
NL of the past
NL of the present
SB of the present with ONE MAIN CHARACTERSomething is going to drop out.

Belle got her memories back! 😀
We got two Rumbelle kisses in one episode.
Rumple voiced exactly what most of us were thinking about the Blue Fairy suddenly discovering the cure for the memory loss.
Grumpy saying that he asked the Blue Fairy to make a second dose of memory cure for Belle. I’m hoping for some great moments between Grumpy and Belle in season 3. Perhaps Belle can convince Grumpy to reunite with Nova.
Regina genuinely doing something out of love for Henry and Henry recognising and acknowledging it.
Hook doing something other than thinking of himself.
Least favourite
Rumple and Belle having to be separated again.
Hook telling Bae about Rumple’s role in Milah’s death. Why hasn’t Bae brought it up with Rumple yet?
Bae telling Hook about Rumple’s dagger. Considering Bae was all I don’t like you/ I like you/ I don’t like you towards Hook, it was strange that he would give out such vital information so easily especially as he knows Rumple killed the mute maid because he thought she knew about the dagger.
Having to wait until season 3 to find out what happens next.
All magic comes with a price!

Nealfire has had a lot of time to think this over. And remember, his mother chose to run off with a pirate. Bae wasn’t that little, she could have taken him with her. But she didn’t.
At some point, as he grew up and processed all of this information, he would have had to come to terms with several pretty confronting facts:
1. His father sought the power of the Dark One to save him from the Ogre Wars and certain death.
2. His mother was cold and then did a runner with a pirate.
3. His father, even when he was the Dark One, tried to keep Bae thinking nice, positive things about his mother – honouring her memory, even though she wasn’t yet dead.
4. His father killed his mother by ripping her heart out and crushing it.
5. His mother never attempted to come back from him, no matter what she might have talked about to Hook for – Hook said he and Milah talked about coming back, he didn’t say they came back to port to get him. Nealfire’s had a lot of time to think about the implications of that.
6. His father crossed oceans of time and space and sacrificed their homeland in order to find him, so he could say sorry.Nealfire certainly got the sh** end of the stick when it comes to parents. One loves him and did horrible things because of that love. The other was seemingly ambivalent about him but died.
Perhaps the easy way for Nealfire to deal with this was to never move past the teenage rant to Hook on the deck of the Jolly Roger – adopt some Regina style logic to the situation? Hook took Milah, which led to Rumple killing her, ergo Hook killed Milah.

Well, we won’t necessarily have stories in all of those categories at same time. Maybe we won’t see as many flashbacks next season. I’m still hoping they keep us posted on what is going on in Storybrooke. Maybe they find a way to communicate.
May 13, 2013 at 2:12 pm #193762swanning-offParticipantI don’t think they’ll have many flashbacks next season. Flashbacks serve a purpose – we know all the pertinent facts about Snow, Charming, the Dwarves, Emma, Regina, etc.
What don’t we know?
– how Baelfire left Neverland, which you’re not meant to be able to do, and settled in 20th century New York to grow up
– how Rumplestiltskin knows Peter Pan
– how Aurora and Mulan found Phillip’s soulFlashbacks for those, but beyond that what do we need to know that will push the story forward? Not much.
So a few flashbacks, current day Neverland, Storybrooke and Enchanted Forest (assuming that’s where MAP & Nealfire are). Simple.

lol. That’s simple?? To you and I, yes. But we are not normal causal viewers. To the casual viewer who is not an active member of the fandom, that’s a lot.
