I think GOLD got it wrong… it is not Henry who will be his undoing but Peter Pan.
The prophecy said the boy will lead him to his son… then he will cause the Dark One to be undone.
Next season Peter Pan will lead Gold to find his son in Enchanted Forest and then in some way CAUSE THE DARK ONE TO BE UNDONE.
AFTER ALL Prophecy is always unreliable.

The 1st Season, Henry couldn’t stand Regina now all at once he likes her. Most kids do not interfere when two adults are talking. Snow interfered when Mulan wanted to take the compass from Emma coming up with a plan for all of them this should have happened here too
I disagree. Given Snow and Regina’s history, I think if Snow had been the one to say it, Regina would have been more likely to perceive it as Emma and Snow ganging up on her and she might have reacted by just getting more antagonistic toward them. Henry is the one person who can mediate between them because they both love him.
I also don’t think that Henry “couldn’t stand Regina”. On the contrary, I think they’ve shown us repeatedly that he loves her (like in “Queen of Hearts”) but he can’t stand the evil things she does. So he was always faced with the emotional conflict of having to fight against her even though he didn’t want anything bad to happen to her (just like we saw in “Broken” and in “Welcome to Storybrooke”). When she showed that she was finally willing to acknowledge responsibility for her actions and to sacrifice herself for everyone else, Henry was able to again show her the affection he had for her before he discovered last year that she was the Evil Queen. It was the same sort of affection Cora referred to when she reminded Regina of Henry’s feelings when he made the “For Mommy” hand print years ago.

May 14, 2013 at 7:43 pm #194336coopsParticipantHaha Tamara’s trip was one of the best bits for sure! I loved the scene were both emma and regina stopped the trigger from destroying storybrooke, interesting to see that the town was turning back to a forest. After the town was saved it was nice to see the charmings and regina all together.
I didn’t really find the Bae/Hook moments. They weren’t bad I just found them a bit boring when so much was going on in storybrooke that seemed rushed.

I got chills when she said “Let me die as Regina.” My favorite plot moment would be the revelation of Henry’s picture at the end because it was so unexpected.
Least favorite moment: Probably their decision to leave Belle behind but I have faith the writers will ultimately do right by Belle next season.

I think you are right, Gold will have to give up the dagger in exchange maybe for Bae 😮

Red wasn’t in the diner so they were going to leave Red to die. All the people they had interacted with, either in Storybrooke or in FTL, they were going to leave to die.
Seriously, Regina “the evil queen” Mills comes out looking better in this episode than all the “heroes”.
I think it can be assumed that they weren’t going to be left behind. Most of those characters haven’t been seen in a long time because the actors are busy–a lot of them have signed on for new TV shows. I highly doubt they were actually going to be left behind.
And as for Belle and Rumpelstiltskin, the guy himself was already ready to pay the price, despite the fact that others were going to be forced to pay it as well, and Lacey was content to stay with him. And so was Belle when she got her memories back. It is not Snow White or Prince Charming’s fault if either one of them didn’t want to leave.
I don’t really mind Belle being left behind. She is not exactly a core character, and it will be good to see her get a few scenes on her own without being a bit of a plot-device for Rumpelstiltskin, which she has been for both season 1 and 2 so far. Obviously the show won’t focus on her 100%, and it shouldn’t. But it will be great to see her on her own or interacting more with the other characters.
I was a bit proud of Regina–we FINALLY get to see and hear her acknowledge that she has messed up. A lot. And she FINALLY decides to take some responsibility for her actions. And I really hope the writers don’t make either her or Rumpelstiltskin go back and forth between doing the right thing and doing something wrong. It has already lost its appeal.
The development for Captain Hook was great–his character has grown on me a bit, and it was great to see his relationship with Bae and how much he had cared for the boy, though the way he turned him over was horrible. Still, I did feel for him a bit.
But poor Bae. People just seem to keep leaving him behind and traumatizing him–his mother, his father, the shadow, and now Captain Hook.
And Emma!! She was awesome. I loved seeing her wrestle with helping Regina out and saving the town and saving Henry and making sure he does not grow up alone. I loved seeing that conflict in her–she wanted to take the easy way out not just for her, but for Henry. She doesn’t want him to grow up alone and without anyone. And when she thought she was going to die, she had to calm for her parents, to feel them hug her one last time. That scene was one of my favorites.

Pretty much all Hook stuff- Finally we got the back story & added depth of what is a main character. Also loved Emma’s “we understand each other” line 🙂 Hook holding Charming back so as to live another day…. 🙂
LOVED Emma’s “Mom,Dad” line in the mines, as well as all the Charming family stuff in general.
Regina FINALLY “getting” it….. If she turns around & goes all EQ on their backsides 1st chance she gets, I will be one unhappy camper & be banging my head against the closest available wall……again! 😉Least Favorite:
UGH! The whole ‘fail safe cant be stopped’ blah, blah thing- I hated the fact it was so easy for that whole thing to be resolved after making such a BIG deal out of it…..I know why they did it, but seriously!? I mean all it took was 2 people with magic (1 not even trained in its use) to stop the flip’n thing! …. The very least they could have done was made it something epic- a big sacrifice- anything to stop it. I mean couldn’t have BF easily stopped it (she’s meant to be the most powerful being in the EF after all & it’s not like they haven’t used her as a convenient plot device a million times before 🙄 ) That whole time Regina could have said, yeah it’s easy to stop the fail safe, I just need someone with magic to help me- It’s Regina, she’s usually made out to be impulsive & not thinking things through, rather than a total idiot 😕 ), it’s not even like either one was drained of magic or anything drastic happened after the impossible was made possible 🙄 That whole plot really bugged me.May 16, 2013 at 6:13 pm #194885thebassgalParticipant@Surayya wrote:

So I think Regina may have no more magic. Maybe she will just be human now and not have magic anymore so she can’t revert to being evil on that level. Pretty sure Greg drained her of almost everything and she spent the rest on stopping the fail-safe.
I have a feeling that by the end of Season 3, only Emma is going to still have her magic as I feel Rumple will deal with Pan to take his magic in exchange for Henry.

I’m not sure about this. I think magic replenishes itself after awhile. The BF said Regina would be ok with rest. I don’t know if there is a way for someone to completely get rid of their magic, except for the case of the Dark One no longer being the Dark One. Magic is learned, but it’s also a part of people. I think Regina needs to willingly give up her magic on her path to redemption.
