Gold tells her about a way to get rid of her powers altogether

    I…what?

    What?

Rumple has got some serious issues if he thinks he can entrap Emma in that hat. All I can do is shake my head in dismay. Neal would’ve been so disheartened to know he gave his life so his father could do that to the mother of his child. I would’ve hoped Rumple would want to preserve the life of his grandson’s birth mom, but apparently Rumple is 100% the dark one now. Not even Belle could keep him from giving into his nasty habits. Ever since he lost his son, he’s been descending evermore into darkness.

This is bothering me as well. He made this speech to Neal at his the grave about getting back on the right track, in essence, and then he sees a shiny hat box and it’s all “nope. lol! Just kidding, ma boy!”

I…ehh….they need to explain what he’s doing because right now he’s coming across as just selfish, evil, egotistical, and without a purpose which is decidedly not how they used to write him.

I think the answer is staring at us in the face. That light that kept Rumple human went out when Neal died. Now Rumple has become nihilistic.

    I agree.

As frustrated as I am with Rumple, I need Adam and Eddy to explain what is going on with Rumple.  Although, knowing he’s going after Emma, no explanation is probably going to change the way I feel about him right now.

Yeahokay this… does not make, any sense. At all. What on earth are they doing with RC’s character? And uhm, why?

Even if they just gave Rumple a quick little line like, “I’m doing all this to get Bae back” “I’m doing all this in service of something else that has yet to be mentioned…” good lord…something! Then we dissect and decide how we feel about it but right now it’s only “power for the sake power” with nothing underneath that, and that’s not…well, that’s not Rumple (nor is it Regina, Hook, Cora ect. With perhaps the exception of Pan, the villains have layers and motives behind why they are doing things. At least more than just surface meanings…)

That is what I call a great marketing move . We don’t  know enough but now most of Ouat fans will be stuck on TV and internet wachting, talking, making theories.

It’s so weird to be getting a press release so early. We stopped getting early press releases since mid-Season 2, and not only that, but we get 408’s press release before even getting 406 and 407’s.

As for the hat, not that I defend Rumple cause I don’t in the slightest, but I don’t think the hat has to fully absorb the magical wearer to get the magic. There might be an option to only suck away just the magic itself, because Elsa’s parents apparently wanted to use the hat to take away Elsa’s magic, and I doubt they planned on imprisoning her.

I don’t think so Matt.  The sorcerer’s apprentice was sucked into the hat.  And RC said the hat not only takes away a person’s magic, but the person too.

Rumple being Rumple though probably did not tell Elsa’s parents the full truth and I suspect, that’s probably the case with Emma here as well.
