That whole Phoenix legend connection is awesome. I remember looking up the meaning of Tamara when the casting call went out and thinking, “Palm tree? Well that’s totally random and gives no hint about the character.” So wrong. K&H are so clever.

I kind of like Tamara for some reason in the seconds we saw her – she just needs to find another tree to be with or something…I’d offer up Augustbut I guess the spoilers prove that isn't likely to happen!

I guess the official podcast already confirmed that Bae and Emma are -actively- still in love with the other – but I really didn’t expect a focus on them – and what to do about their feelings – until well into next season.

Maybe Tamara will find Hook in the storage closet and they will hit it off. I do wish both characters better stories- so maybe they can find a great one together!!! I would totally ship HookPalm or HookTree… PalmHook…. someone help me out here….

Pretty sure, based on how sweet Tamara seemed, that she deserves better than Hook IMHO. I’d really get a kick if the trees ended up together, even a fling – August and Tamara. But that doesn't seem likely anymore.
My theory? Somehow August arranged it with Neal to protect her or something like that. So he’s playing the boyfriend/fiancee etc Why? because the filming pics where August and Neal are talking, Tamara doesn't look like she's watching them, it's almost like they're staked out there for her So, the whole coffee bit is setup and that’s why when he sees Emma he’s like “It’s complicated” because I’m sure he wants to be like “I want to tell you the whole story so you don’t think I moved on because I haven’t” After all why did they use that wording? Why did Ausiello focus on that word as did JMo in her interview? Complicated is not what you use to describe, hey it’s been 11 years and I just moved on and fell in love with someone else, sorry. I know some thought it was complicated due to her not being magical which i still don’t believe, there’s too much emphasis. And he’s stuck in this role but he probably cares about Tamara in a way and he also has to keep up the pretense of her protector or whatever and you can’t just say “Oh HAI THIS IS THE COMPLICATED THING” cuz then Tamara will be all “Huh?” so there’s something I think he knwos more of that we havent’ found out yet.

I put it as a link because she does such a good job of explaining it. Pretty much, it’s that Tamra is an amnesiac version of Tink and Neal’s trying to protect her.
I really like the idea of him trying to be a protector in some capasity and that that’s why this “love triangle” exists. It would really keep it from becoming just a repeat of last years mm/david/kathryn thing.
On a slightly unrelated note, has any one else seen the Miller’s daughter promo? I must say Espenson is a god. For a scene that’s entirely Rumbelle in dilauge, there is a heavy dose both SwanFire and the Papa/Puppy relationship.

The phrase “It’s complicated” is almost a cliche phrase that people use when talking about romantic triangles. There’s even a movie along those lines, titled It’s complicated. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1230414/. So Neal’s “it’s compllicated” may actually not be THAT complex as some big conspiracy. But on this show…we never know!
