I know I keep going on about this but if Kitsis and Horowitz have stated that Blue is good and only wishes to to good then I’ve got to believe what they’ve said. They weren’t ambiguous about it. They made it perfectly clear she is good and only does good.
What bugs me about the Blue Fiary, no matter what Eddie and Adam claim, is that she did nothing to stop the Ogre Wars and the kids fighting on the front lines. If she’s the “Original Power” and her name was whispered about on the battlefield, why didn’t she show up to help them? All Bae had to do was say her name and *poof* she floats down to the ground with a solution to his problem. Rumple, on the other hand, although he is evil, did stop the Ogres. We know from Morraine that the soldiers looked at him as a hero. Maybe the Blue Fairy is all good, but there are some inconsistancies about her. And I still take it as her lying to the Charmings about the tree. She withheld information and twisted it. That’s dishonest. But this isn’t the Blue Fairy thread…
As for “The Cricket Game”, I’m of the opinion that Cora is going to be impersonating Archie. I don’t think she’s going to kill him, but I think she could do a lot of damage as Archie. Actually, he seems like the key guy to impersonate if she wants the make the most mischief. Regina we know has talked to him. Gold has confided in him in the past. He’s the town psychiatrist and the one most people probably trust. He’s in the inner circle of the Charmings. That’s just a perfect storm for causing chaos.
Well, I think Blue has limits to how much she can control and how much power she wields. As for Cora impersonating Archie, that would make it pretty interesting. Great theory!

A couple of things have been kicking around in my head. The episode description did not say that anyone was murdered…just that Regina was accused of murdering a beloved fairy tale character. That doesn’t mean that someone wasn’t really murdered but it does leave a lot of options open. Also…why the description of the person supposedly murdered as a fairy tale person…rather than someone in the town of Storybrook? I’m not sure I have any answers…lots of good possibilities have been listed but I’ve thought of a few more.
1. Hook kidnaps Archie and holds him captive in the clock tower (remember when Jiminy Cricket was tied up in the cukoo clock). The motive…trying to find out what Archie knows about Rumple’s weakness. This possibility came to me when I was looking again at Archie’s journal in the Once game. Archie writes that it is important to destroy notes of earlier session and how it is better to have no record of Rumple’s weakness. He also writes about going into hiding or a protection program if Rumple comes for counseling. I guess he could also be in hiding (clock tower?).
2. Archie is not murdered or kidnapped but rather he is missing because he is trying to work out his own guilt issues regarding Gepetto’s parents. In We are Both he was one of the ones who wanted to cross the line to erase his memories and in his journal he writes that he was happier before the curse was broken…and that the existence of Marco/Gepetto and the debt he can never fill tie him forever to the cricket he was. Another possibility is Archie is once again considering crossing the line.
…and I really like the suggestion of Cora impersonating Archie. Talk about a fast track to a lot of information. Possibly Archie is captive in the clock tower and Cora is impersonating. That would be an interesting story line.
Again great thoughts on the subject. Didn’t think about the his notebook but it makes sense there still may be tons of clues in there.

or…..Cora could be impersonating Pongo.,..also Regina could be impersonating someone. There was an episode where Regina morphed into a rat…so we know she can shape shift too. There is also that picture of the dog (“August” by Theodor Philipsen) on the wall of Rumple’s shop in the Once game…that morphs into the Evil Queen when you scroll over it.

Yes, I totally forgot about the notebook too. It would make sense for Hook to steal it so he could learn more about Rumpel’s weaknesses. I wonder who else Archie wrote about in there?

December 21, 2012 at 9:02 am #165769fairy dustParticipantA different thought came to me tonight…what if Archie is the one who plays the game. What if Archie pulls an Operation Cobra on Cora and Hook…or maybe even at some point pulls it on Regina. What if Archie pretends to have crossed the line and lost his memories…and then pretends to let himself be manipulated by Cora and Hook…but instead he is really gathering intel…helping to throw them off the track etc. Perhaps they even stage his death.
In the game Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories…Jiminy Cricket loses his memory. The idea of him being the one to play the trick…manipulate the game would be an unexpected twist. After all…the Jiminy Cricket we all grew up with always wore a top hat…maybe Archie pulls a few tricks out it…and the Blue Fairy did tell him he would live as long as Gepetto needed him. I’m pretty sure Gepetto still needs him.
