Cora tries to steal the compass from Emma and Mary Margaret; Regina and Mr. Gold must put David’s life in danger in hope that he will contact Mary Margaret. http://www.spoilertv.com/2012/11/once-upon-time-episode-208-and-209.html
What’s this about Snow and Charming finding a way to communicate between worlds on Once Upon a Time? — Emily
NATALIE: It’s true. The star-crossed lovers will find a way, but like everything in these worlds, it comes with a price. “They find a direct line of communication that requires a great risk,” Ginnifer Goodwin says. “There’s something very tragic about the fact that the risk that’s taken is potentially a great sacrifice that is made in order to get Emma and Snow White home. There’s something really beautiful about the selflessness that is necessary to communicate.” http://www.tvguide.com/News/MegaBuzz-Bones-Once-Hawaii-Five0-1055311.aspxSounds like the “great sacrifice” that Ginny Goodwin hinted at is David putting his life at risk in order to communicate with Snow across worlds.

November 2, 2012 at 1:59 pm #159125PheeParticipantRegina and Rumple working together to help Charming be reunited with Snow. Has the world gone mad?! 😆
November 2, 2012 at 2:35 pm #159137lilredParticipantSomething must be going VERY wrong in Storybrooke if Regina (using magic again?) and Rumple are working together to have Charming contact Snow. And Cora and Hook haven’t arrived yet so we can’t blame them! 😆
I do think Rumple may want Emma back so he can use his deal and have her retrieve Bae – but is Regina motivated by Henry…?
Maybe we have another villain in town – whoever killed in ‘Child of the Moon’.
November 2, 2012 at 5:50 pm #159159hannah97ParticipantHmm. How exactly is he planning on contacting them? Why the heck are Rumple and Regina helping him? Wasn’t Regina going to stop using magic? So many questions from only two sentences. *sigh*

Maybe the “deep” is referencing some sort of hypnosis like state that Charming will have to go under? Something so intense that it could potentially leave him permanently unconscious, like he was for those 28 years he spent in the hospital. Perhaps?

Yes, I wondering why Regina is so eager to help now. Maybe something happens between her and Henry between now and then. Or I like your theory that things are even worse in Storybrooke and Cora and Hook aren’t even there yet. Can you imagine if you’re right about Emma and Snow being impostors and all the good guys having to scramble into the woods into hiding because things look so bleak for the good guys? It could happen. Maybe there’s going to be a Cora/Hook/King George/Anita/Quinn/possibly Barrett axis of evil thing they have going on. I can definitely see King George offering Anita and Quinn protection if they join up on his side against the good guys, and then Cora and Hook joining up with King George later.
The impostor theory doesn’t have to be true for this to work out since it could happen without Emma and Snow being impostors, but it’s getting more likely imo. I just don’t want Regina to be the only person or at least the first person to spot that they’re impostors. I don’t think I can take all the SwanQueen squealing, but mostly I don’t want Regina to be right but have everyone think she’s crazy. I just hope that if they are impostors, she does her spell to make sure that they’re real, Cora expects her to do it, but is able to deflect it, and Regina thinks nothing is up until later on. Or something like that, so she doesn’t suspect anything. Ugh, I just have a terrible feeling though that they’ll probably have Regina be the only one at first to believe that Emma and Snow are fake, just because they’ve been trying to make Regina into one of the good guys this year, which I don’t buy because she still has so much to work through. However, Lana Parrilla did say something awhile ago about working this season with a mysterious fairy tale character that they haven’t publicized at all which I took to be Neal/Bae since he’s the only one that they’ve been really secretive about which would make sense since he would know right away too that something was off if Emma didn’t recognize him. Double ugh, I just hope it’s not true because she didn’t seem too bright of a villain last season especially compared to Rumple.
Of course, I don’t really know much about Anita and Quinn, but I already know I don’t really like him if he’s choking Snow White in one of the spoiler pics from episode 7. I just thought of something else though. Could you imagine Hook as Emma or appearing as a couple with Quinn to convince people that Quinn is an okay guy? I just think it would be incredibly funny if the spoiler about Emma having all these guys try to break down her walls really wasn’t about the real Emma, at least not fully, but about fake Emma, if we’re right about the impostor theory. So Quinn could possibly be one of those guys that tries to break down “Emma’s” walls to fool the good guys into thinking that he’s a good guy too. I could also see Bae trying to woo fake Emma too just because he wants to find out who fake Emma is exactly and expose the impostors.

Yes, I think this is a Charming episode definitely not a Hook episode, and it does seem like whatever Rumple and Regina try to do to him to get him to contact Snow is going to be something really bad. I wonder if they’re setting up a parallel between dark!Snow in “Heart of Darkness” to how Rumple and Regina try to put David’s life in danger so that Snowing’s empathy powers can work, which could possibly cause David to turn dark. Or perhaps there’s another risk of him getting amnesia again which would be like Snow in “Heart of Darkness” too, or the risk of being permanently unconscious again, which would mirror Snow willingly taking the bite out of the apple that put her to sleep. Maybe that’s why David won’t be able to tell it’s not really the real Snow right away because his mind could still be messed up by whatever Rumple and Regina do to him. Really hate the idea that Regina might be the first to spot the impostors though, if the impostor theory is true.

I think the putting Davids life in danger part, is that they put him under the sleeping curse. So that he can enter ‘the red room’ where Henry was. They probably figure out that this is a means that they can use to communicate with those in FTL. Mary M have also had the dreams, and been under the curse, so maybe they hope, or maybe they believe that she is who David will meet in ‘the red room’.

Meanwhile, Regina and Mr. Gold endanger David, hoping this will be a catalyst for him to connect with Mary Margaret and assist her and Emma with finding a way back to Storybrooke.
