My reaction to this, sentence by sentence:
1) yeah, I though that would probably happen.
2) O______________________O WHAT PORTAL? MURDER? WHAT? HOW? WHERE? WHAT IS…WHAT?"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"This is confusing because the episode before says ‘Cora tries to steal the compass from Emma and Mary Margaret’ and now it says ‘Hook and Cora face off with Emma and Mary Margaret in a race for the compass’
And i thought that Hook has a ‘soft spot’ for Emma so why would he go against her…
I’m glad that that soft spot isn’t lasting d: Far more interesting this way.
Or perhaps ‘soft spot’ was a clever way to say that he was going to -be- a certain blonde in a leather jacket?

Can’t imagine Belle will be impressed if she finds out he’s plotting these shenanigans.
Perhaps in communicating with Snow on the other side in 2×8, they all discover that Hook and Cora are likely to get across. So Regina and Rumpel know that – even though they have to be doing good – they can’t put everyone (and more importantly at this point in their arcs, themselves) at risk.

It’s gonna be interesting to see how it plays out, I thinking after the initial showdown the compass is lost so all of them have to go after it again. Still rooting for Hook to double cross Cora for Emma at the last minute.
