That cast list is interesting. I really expected to see Blue Fairy as to how Hook gets to Wonderland. So how does he get there??

Can’t wait to see how that happens, and why it happens, and where on the timeline it happens.
November 13, 2012 at 5:51 pm #160614kalliopekiseesParticipantI have been thinking a bunch about realm jumping as there seems to be so many holes. The writers need to make things a wee more concrete. For instance, the hat can travel go to worlds with magic, but not to worlds without it. Yet, we see Jefferson and Regina pull an apple from FTL pre broken curse. Does this suggest that one can travel from a land without magic to a land with magic and then back again? What are the exact rules of the hat? Also, since Jefferson was able to travel to Frankenstein’s world via Hat, I assume that Frankenstein’s world has magic? How many times can a bean be used? What are the rules of the beans, or the shoes, or the globe, etc..
Perhaps Hook used the bean to gain entry into Wonderland. Perhaps Hook was a realm jumper before the bean. Perhaps he had the bean, wanted to go to Neverland but ended up in Wonderland instead and that is how he learned about the compass and met the QOH.
It would appear that Cora is indeed the QOH. (I was hoping the QOH was a sister but oh well). The write up defines the Queen as vengeful. Since Cora was cast into Wonderland, I can see why she would be vengeful and hate even the sound of Regina’s name. I wonder if Cora has Hook kidnap Regina’s father. If Cora is the QOH, I think she overthrows the original Wonderland Queen and pretends to still be her. That would account for why she keeps herself hidden from others.

Yet, we see Jefferson and Regina pull an apple from FTL pre broken curse. Does this suggest that one can travel from a land without magic to a land with magic and then back again? Regina had to give the hat power because it did not have the ability to pull the apple from FTL until she put magical objects into it, including her ring from Daniel. So, it could work (in a very limited fashion) in a non magical realm so long as it was given a boost. Once Gold gave magic to the world, the hat could work once Emma touched Regina because Regina herself had no powers at that moment (still waiting for that one to be fully fleshed out by our writers!)
I think the main point with Frankenstein’s world is that science and magic are the same thing, only he doesn’t recognize them as such.Perhaps Hook used the bean to gain entry into Wonderland. Perhaps Hook was a realm jumper before the bean. Perhaps he had the bean, wanted to go to Neverland but ended up in Wonderland instead and that is how he learned about the compass and met the QOH.
My theory about how Hook got to WL is as follows: if both lands have magic, then maybe he didn’t get directly to WL but got to the Door World and then entered through the mirror into WL. How did he get to the Door World? Perhaps a certain Blue Fairy and her bag of magic Fairy Dust helped him out. We do know that she knows about other worlds. Who is to say she hasn’t been to them. She could also be standing in for some sort of Tinkerbell like character.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"November 13, 2012 at 7:23 pm #160631RumplesGirlKeymasterAnd I never thought about Hook capturing Henry Sr. I really like that. That’s always bothered me, how Henry got to WL and how Regina knew he had been taken. If Hook left some kind of note, it might also explain why she’s so willing to work with Rumple to make sure the pair of them–Cora and Hook–never make it through the portal. Regina is selfish enough to want to protect her ownself, but if she has an idea about who Hook is and what he’s capable of…hmmm. I like this.

This is confusing because the episode before says ‘Cora tries to steal the compass from Emma and Mary Margaret’ and now it says ‘Hook and Cora face off with Emma and Mary Margaret in a race for the compass’
And i thought that Hook has a ‘soft spot’ for Emma so why would he go against her…
MIGHT HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH BEING LOCKED UP WITH A GIANT….
BESIDES PIRATES ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED….

.November 14, 2012 at 4:08 am #160697malchoreParticipantThere is a matter of timing. Hook was around at the same time (within a few years) of Rumple becoming the Dark One. That was centuries ago. Regina shoved her mom into the looking glass when Snow was a pre-teen, approx 20 years ago or there-a-bouts. How ever Hook gets into Wonderland, the writers have to account for the big time gap.
A couple of ways this could go:
1) Instead of Neverland, the magic bean actually took Hook to Wonderland where Hook meets the queen of hearts, and it’s NOT Cora. A distant predecessor perhaps, but not Cora.
2) Hook actually did end up in Neverland, then left Neverland and went to Wonderland at a much later time.
3) Perhaps Jefferson happened to be traveling in Neverland, met with Hook and took him to Wonderland? Doubtful since Jefferson wasn’t mentioned in the cast list.
4) The writers pull some unexpected trickery from their hat, and throw us a curve we didn’t see coming.November 14, 2012 at 4:26 am #160698GrimmsisterParticipantWhuew!! This is getting confusing 😕 I kinda’ hope they will come up with some more simple explanations for all of this, no offence 😉
November 14, 2012 at 4:31 am #160700GrimmsisterParticipantRight now I’m a little scared I must admit 😯
That the writers have gone completly bonkers with all these portals and entanglements with this and that. I feel a bit out of breath. Hope its only from all of you guys (and my own) crazy speculations.November 14, 2012 at 6:41 am #160714PheeParticipant@KalliopeKisees wrote:

I like this idea! If Hook has done something like that for Cora to prove his worth, it’d explain why she’s willing to team up with him now. As to how Hook ever ended up in Wonderland and/or in contact with Cora, thinking about that one makes my head hurt. 😆

This makes sense to me. Pre-curse, the hat couldn’t contact our world or vice versa because the hat needs magic to work.

Adam Horowitz tweeted someone after that ep and said that Frankenstein’s world does indeed have magic, it’s just that Frankenstein didn’t realise it.
