I have been thinking a bunch about realm jumping as there seems to be so many holes. The writers need to make things a wee more concrete. For instance, the hat can travel go to worlds with magic, but not to worlds without it. Yet, we see Jefferson and Regina pull an apple from FTL pre broken curse. Does this suggest that one can travel from a land without magic to a land with magic and then back again? What are the exact rules of the hat? Also, since Jefferson was able to travel to Frankenstein’s world via Hat, I assume that Frankenstein’s world has magic? How many times can a bean be used? What are the rules of the beans, or the shoes, or the globe, etc..
Perhaps Hook used the bean to gain entry into Wonderland. Perhaps Hook was a realm jumper before the bean. Perhaps he had the bean, wanted to go to Neverland but ended up in Wonderland instead and that is how he learned about the compass and met the QOH.
It would appear that Cora is indeed the QOH. (I was hoping the QOH was a sister but oh well). The write up defines the Queen as vengeful. Since Cora was cast into Wonderland, I can see why she would be vengeful and hate even the sound of Regina’s name. I wonder if Cora has Hook kidnap Regina’s father. If Cora is the QOH, I think she overthrows the original Wonderland Queen and pretends to still be her. That would account for why she keeps herself hidden from others.
Great questions Kallio 🙂 I asked Adam Horowitz about this a few weeks ago but he didn’t answer. I kept wondering if portals created by beans could be accessed from portals via the hat.
I think it’s safe to assume that Hook did in fact end up in Neverland. Why else would they have him state that’s where he was going. I am extremely curious as to how he ended up in Wonderland though.
Going on the assumption that Cora is indeed the QofH then they would have had to have met within the last 20 years. Did Hook manage to leave Neverland pre-curse? Does the vortex, created by the bean, allow a return voyage? We certainly see a beanstalk still standing in Enchanted Forest. Does the hat enable one to travel through portals created by the beans?
Or, upon the curse, did all magical world’s collide thus allowing entry from one world to another? Can we assume that all other world’s have a tiny bit preserved just as the Enchanted Forest does? Is that how Philip & Mulan ended up meeting? Is that how Cora & Hook ended up meeting? Are they all crossing over one world to another? No more borders between magical worlds? The real world, our world, would not qualify.
So many questions. I’m looking forward to this episode more than any other. It just may hold many unanswered questions about Bae’s journey.

I think that Cora became QoH when Regina pushed her through the looking glass, and that Hook met her in Wonderland even before the curse struck. That means there are portals (e.g. shoes, mirrors, wardrobes) besides than magical beans and Jefferson’s hat through which Captain Hook was able to travel from Neverland to Wonderland. Maybe there was another looking glass connecting those two worlds. When Hook and Cora met, they discovered that they both knew Rumplestiltskin, and they both wanted revenge.
I’m wondering exactly why Hook wanted to go to Wonderland in the first place though. Maybe he wanted to locate Jefferson, who was stuck in WL, to use his hat to get back to the EF. By then, Hook may have discovered how to kill Rumplestiltskin, which would explain why he wanted to get to Rumpel’s land. But then the curse hit, and Mr. Gold and Regina ended up in SB, while the curse casued Hook and Cora to end up in post-curse EF. I think all of the realms of FTL melded together when the curse struck, which is why perhaps all of these characters from different lands know each other.

That’s what I was thinking too. 😉
November 16, 2012 at 6:11 pm #161052PheeParticipantMaybe Hook will end up in Wonderland accidentally? Maybe he’s found out he’s gotta go to a different world to find Rumple, and when he’s trying various portals and realms, trying to find the right one, he ends up in Wonderland. He and his men, (or maybe only Smee will be travelling with him), are taken prisoner by QoH(Cora). Knowing that they can realm jump, she orders Hook to go and kidnap Henry Sr, saying that only when he returns will she release his men. Hook completes the task, so QoH decides he’ll be a worthy ally in the future. Perhaps?
As for how the curse effected all the realms, I’ve had this idea for a while that maybe it didn’t effect the realms themselves, but rather the people, and it only effected FTL natives. That could explain why Jefferson, Cora, and Hook are all involved, even though they were (likely) in different lands when the curse hit. Regina was only concerned with punishing the people of FTL, she had no beef with people in other lands. So maybe any FTL natives who were away from home got sucked back in by the curse. Perhaps?

Episode Description- http://onceuponatime-fans.com/
Regina and Mr. Gold try to prevent Cora’s arrival in Storybrooke by making the portal dangerous, jeopardizing Emma and Mary Margaret’s lives in the process. Meanwhile, back in the fairy-tale world, Captain Hook meets the Queen of Hearts. So Cora is the Queen of Hearts because we already know that he meets up with her again.
I have a theory but its a bit far-fetched-
Everyone might know how evil the Queen of Hearts is and people might also know of her ripping of hearts. When Hook finds out who she is, he might refuse to team up with her due to his disgust at ripping of hearts because of what happened to Milah. Hook is going to kill Rumple for ripping out Milahs heart, he probably wont want to team up with someone who does the exact same thing.
If Hook had told Cora why he wanted revenge on Rumple, surely Cora wouldn’t have told him she doesn the same evil act because she needs his help.
But i might be wrong, because Hook will do anything to get his revenge on Rumple. Also does anyone know when episode 10 airs after the break? Thanks
I’m thinking that maybe Hook teams up with the Queen of Hearts/Cora specifically BECAUSE she can do the rip-out-hearts thing. I think that’s how he wants to get revenge on Rumple. By learning how to pull out the heart by watching Cora, then going to Storybrook and pulling out Rumple’s heart. I think he’ll succeed in pulling out Rumple’s heart, but I also think he’ll be stopped by Emma/Henry/Belle/someone else and remember that he’s not really a bad guy, and he’ll give Rumple’s heart back. /crackpot theory
