Amazing theories. This is a great discussion board, I’m glad I found it 🙂 It will be so fun to watch it all unfold.

I do think that the parallel exsists between Belle and Mahil and the tavern exsists, obviously but I really think Smee is just going to see Rumple giving Belle the necklace (or whatever he gives her) and see the connection between Rumbelle and she going to be a casualty in the Hook and Rumple war.

I like the idea of Grumpy being the old acquaintance, that makes much more sense than it being Smee IMO.

Yeah it just makes more sense to me. Her being in the mine cart, Grumpy working in the mines….
I think maybe Smee sees her arguing with her father and offers to walk her back to wherever (the library) it seems. She thinking he’s being a gentleman takes him up on the offer and while their walking back they get to talking about Rumple (or he already knows about her and Rumple and just wants to know the extent of their relationship and figures he can use her as a bargaining chip to get Hook back.
I really don’t think they’ve met before though.
To me the mine, the mine cart and her seeing Grumpy again are all connected. I just haven’t figured out how, lol.October 16, 2012 at 6:27 am #156886PheeParticipantMaybe Grumpy is digging away on one side of a mine wall, and Belle’s cart comes racing at it from the other side, and she smashes through, lands on top of Grumpy, and in doing so, dislodges some rocks that reveal fairy dust. When she gets back to Rumple, she’ll tell him about what happened, and he’ll be all, “Fairy dust, hey…well I wouldn’t usually use that vile stuff, but I’m desperate.” So Belle’s kidnapping and rescue could inadvertently lead to Rumple gaining more magic, which isn’t what she wants to happen.

Ohh yes, I like this! I like this a lot! It makes total sense to me.

Yea- I like this too, makes much more sense if it’s Grumpy.
October 16, 2012 at 2:41 pm #156930Daniel J. LewisKeymasterCool theories guys! Count me in as one who believes that Mihla ran way with Hook too. I think Rumpel will probably think that she was kidnapped, and will spend the majority of the episode trying to rescue her. But once he finally finds her, she tells him that she ran away with Hook on her own free will and is no longer in love with him. I think this episode will explain why Rumpel refused to believe that Belle could ever love him. I think his insecurities from this one event will haunt Rumpel’s relationship with Belle for a while. He’ll always be worried about her leaving him. But if he’s not careful, she will. Rumpel has a good girl by his side, SO TREAT HER RIGHT DANG IT!
October 16, 2012 at 2:42 pm #156928Daniel J. LewisKeymasterOh! And I also agree that it would make mores sense for Belle to run into Grumpy instead of Smee. She already knows Grumpy and they seemed to share a bit of a connection in “Dreamy.” So, it would be nice to see them reconnect. 😉
But then again, there may be something about Belle that has yet to be revealed. Maybe she does have a history with pirates. Maybe she met Hook after she left Rumpel’s palace. I’ve read theories saying that maybe Regina hired Hook to kidnap Belle. I think that theory sounds plausible.
