According to Michael Ausiello, she’s Neal’s fiancee, which is disappointing, but not surprising given the panic of SwanFire shippers last week when photos of her and Neal came out.
Question: Once Upon a Time‘s Henry/Neal/Emma rocked “Manhattan.” What’s next for my favorite family? —Patti
Ausiello: What’s next? Uh, major complications. ”Emma’s not going to forgive Neal or ask for him to be in her life romantically, but she at least feels that it would probably be best for Henry to have Neal in his life,” Jennifer Morrison told TVLine’s Matt Mitovich. “But in the midst of Emma asking Neal [about that], it’s revealed to her that he has a fiancee, a whole life that’s been going on. So, that definitely is complicated!”While I guess she could really be his fiancee, I’m guessing that she’s either Tinkerbell or Tiger Lily too, and that if she is one of those two characters, then maybe her engagement with Neal is a ruse. Even if the engagement is real, I have faith in SwanFire being endgame.
Anyhow, I just don’t think she’s just a regular person like maybe Greg is because I think it would be too risky, not only for her but for the other residents, for Neal to bring a regular person to Storybrooke even if she was the most understanding girlfriend in the world. I don’t think she could handle seeing magic around her if she really were a non-magical person and that she’d leave quickly, but since she’s suppose to be around for next season, I think she has to be another magical character because they already have an outsider with Greg and unless Tamara is HER, I don’t think they’d do the same kind of story line at the same time.

Agreed, she’s gotta be from a magical world if they’re gonna let her into SB. Apart from the SBers not wanting outsiders there, I can’t see Neal taking some mere mortal he’s in love with and entangling her in all the magic “crap”. There will be much more to this storyline than just an innocent engagement.

See and that’s always fun, though I’d much rather the love triangle be between Hook-Emma-Baelfire especially if Bae turns out to be Peter Pan also 😀
February 20, 2013 at 7:08 am #174420jolly rogerParticipantSee, I don’t think that there will be a love triangle between Hook, Neal and Emma, because this situation is a lot different to Katherine, David and Mary. Katherine and David were married due to a curse, and therefore they were pretty much obligated to stay with each other even though David had feelings for someone else – if he wasn’t married then he would go straight to Mary.
Neal and his fiance chose to be together – there was no curse that forced them together and to get married. Neal willingly proposed to this woman, he wasn’t forced by magic. Therefore Neal obviously loves this woman. But in saying that, he may leave his fiance for Emma, but the way this is going I don’t think he would. I think he would just be fighting to be in Henrys’ life.February 20, 2013 at 7:30 am #174422MatthewPaulModeratorI must be the only one who doesn’t think Tamara is Tinkerbell or Tiger Lilly. Especially not Tiger Lilly, since Tiger Lilly supposed to be Native American based, not African American (even the casting call specifies African American). As for Tinkerbell, I could buy them making a twist by making her African American as opposed to Caucasian. However, she might possibly be a non Fairy Tale character, and being Neal’s fiancee is enough. If she is a Fairy Tale character, she could possibly be Tiana, as early speculators theorized.
February 20, 2013 at 7:45 am #174424chexmex325ParticipantWoah! Fiancee hmmm I think it’s interesting that IF Swanfire is endgame (which I believe and hope that it is) that just like her mother, Emma will be breaking up an engagement for twuu luuv 😆
February 20, 2013 at 11:42 am #174438PheeParticipantIf we assume that Tamara is someone from a magical land, which is reasonable to assume, considering there are pics of her in SB and they don’t like non-magical peeps in town, I’d also assume that Neal doesn’t know her true identity, because he wouldn’t want to be with anyone magical, because that’s what he’s been running from his whole life.
If so, that could clash with the Peter Pan and Tinkerbell theories for them both…unless she was able to cast a spell on him so he didn’t recognise her…and if she was sent by Blue to find him, surely she has some reserves of fairy dust hidden away, the way Regina had her magical trinkets…which could make a forgetting spell possible. Ooo, maybe that’s why she bumps into him and spills her drink on him, because she had to get fairy dust on him somehow?
Anyway, basically, what I’m getting at, is if she’s revealed to be someone magical, and Neal didn’t previously know, I’m guessing the engagement won’t last much longer.

Yeah, this is my thinking as well. This is probably going to develop into a love triangle, which will eventually lead to the end of Neal and Tamara’s engagement.
I’m well versed in the ways of primetime drama, so I already know where this storyline is headed. 😆
