Exactly! That’s what I’ve been wondering. If – and I don’t trust the show’s writers a bit, when it comes to misdirecting us – and I say IF this Tamara is really Neal’s fiance in realtime, how is she going to react to find out that he has an 11 year old son? And I can’t wait until she meets her future father-in-law…

I’m a SwanFire Fan I suspect Emma & Neal/Bae will be the endgame. I just love Emma going all badass on Hook to protect Rumple. Watching that ending shot of the clip with Neal running to Rumple’s & Emma’s aid, seeing Hook knocked out cold and kneeling down to Rumple saying “Papa” just warmed my heart. I think Emma will tell Neal about her encounter with Hook & Cora back in the present day Enchanted Forest, which I think will lead to her telling Neal about Regina being Henry’s adopted mother. I suspect that news along with Hook’s attack on Rumple & Emma and fearing that Henry could also be in danger from Hook, Cora & Regina and needs to be protected will prompt Neal into going to Storybrooke

My first thought when I read that was Alice. If they’re trying to do a Mad Hatter spin off they need a backdoor pilot so maybe this is it?

Actually, nowhere in Tamara’s casting call does she say she’s British. They also would have requested someone who is African American, like they did in Tamara’s original casting call.

That’s where I read about Tamara having a “British” accent, at least originally.
I personally hope it isn’t her, as I like the idea of Alice much more.

The lack of asking for an African American still seems to rule her out.

I have a feeling that even if Tamara is a wonderful person – the perfect girlfriend who is sweet and witty and charming and understanding, with a compelling backstory – it doesn’t matter. Basically, Tamara is a someone who is preventing the main protagonist of the show from getting what they want. That’s just….I don’t see how this could end happily for all those involved. It’ll cause pain for Emma (basically Neal will break her heart a second time), and…I just don’t like it. There are so many ways, like you guys mentioned, that SwanFire could have conflict that do not involve a love triangle.
Also…from the spoiler photos some ppl have speculated that Neal and Tamara met shortly before curse-break, when Augst was on his way to SB. If that's true, then I admit this makes me feel a little resentment towards Neal. Couldn't he have waited? It was so close to her 28th birthday, and he knew she would be free. And to get engaged in that time…doesn't scream “true love” ala SnowxCharming to me. If it must happen, I guess I'm interested to see how it happened.
Here’s the thing, the way it was left, August made everything very vague. I have a feeling he didn’t tell Neal the entire story and made it very open ended because in Neal’s mind, it was going to happen soon then he’d have his girl back. But it didn’t…and years later maybe he lost hope or thought it broke and August lied to him. …plus we don’t know if August will make up some other lie to him to keep him from freaking out and running to find Emma…
But guys………what if………what if Neal secretly went to Tallahassee when she was there and watched her from afar ;_; so random but feelings ughhh
When Neal finally tells Emma why “it’s complicated” (to quote one of the sneak peaks) I really want him to tell her that he waited for a long time, hoped she would break the curse sooner so he could come get her. She still doesn’t know that August sent him a postcard like he promised so that Neal would know when it was all over and he and Emma could be together again.

Not to mention, is apparently in some manner a fairly powerful, if untrained, sorceress herself.
