The writers will definitely want to take the most well known incarnations of characters, then twist that version in some way. So for Morgan Le Fay, they would start with the idea that most of the audience expects her to be evil and then go from there.
I do like the idea of connecting Morgan Le Fay to Lancelot and picking back those plot threads, whether or not that is through Tamara.

I’m obviously not that well versed on Arthurian legend as well but I did read Mists of Avalon and some other books as well but it sure seems as if all the different authors all had different takes on Arthur’s sisters. But I would agree with KFChimera that if OUAT is going for Morgan le Fay, then they probably would start with what most audiences are familiar with and that would be her being evil or at least somewhat antagonistic to our main characters. I think the idea of combining the Lady of the Lake and Morgan le Fay’s characters would be interesting as well. I’ve been waiting for more on Lancelot and I think this would tie in nicely to the beginning of this season and give us another avenue to explore for season 3.

Before I read all this, I wandered down the wrong path, probably for the wrong reasons: In the Promo when Tamara was looking up and saying “Long time, no see”, all I could think of Anton (and totally forgot he is human sized now, DUH) and the harp. I started digging and the only relation I could find is with Peter Joshua Sculthorp, an Australian composer, who wrote the composition “Sydney Singing” specifically for three musicians, one of whom is Tamara Spigelman, a solo harpist. Couldn’t find anything else to tie this theory with Neil and Tamara, so it seems to be just a coincidence.
