When we first got the casting call for Barrett, my initial thought was that he’d be a normal person, and I certainly don’t have any problem with them introducing normal people as long as they have a cool way to do it. I just think that in the case of Tamara in particular, they’ve already gone to the trouble of establishing just how much outsiders are not welcome in SB, when they had to have a discussion about whether or not to let Greg just die, just in case he saw something. We’ve seen pics from set of Tamara in SB, standing around watching something seriously magical going on. I can’t see how she’d have been in that scene if she wasn’t someone with prior knowledge of magic.

I guess we could hypothesize that Neal told her about magic and who he is, but I don’t think that fits with his character. He’s been running from all that crap (his words) for a very long time and if he never told Emma (who I believe is his true love) then I doubt he’s going to tell Tamara.
If she is Tinkerbell, I wonder if she has access to fairy dust or her wand."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"February 20, 2013 at 5:22 pm #174493beastwhispererParticipant@RumplesGirl wrote:

I’m not thrilled with the ideal that Neal has a fiance, but I’m certainly not surprised. They aren’t going to make it too easy for Emma and Neal to end up back together. I’m still hoping they do in the long run though.

What you said made me think of something. If she is a FTL character (Tink/Tiger Lily, the Frog Princess, ect.) then where was she while Neal was with Emma? You would think that they would stick together, especially if she’s Tinkerbell to Neal’s Peter Pan. If they both came through (wherever they came through) together, they would probably stick together, being in a new land and everything.
That kinda sums up why I’m thinking she’s not going to be a friend of Bae’s from Neverland or anything like that. He was really alone when he and Emma met, and he didn’t want magical ties that would make him easier for Rumple to find or remind him of his past. I’m becoming more convinced that Tamara is “Her” and is using him to get what she really wants. She wants to go to SB because Greg has sent her that video rather than Nealfire being her target. She pretends to learn about magic during the Rumple crisis, initially feigns disbelief, and lets Neal and Emma protect her to get to town. While everyone worries about Greg, she’s the real danger.
February 20, 2013 at 5:41 pm #174499angiebelleParticipantI don’t think “Her” is going to turn out to be an important character. I think she is just a wife or girlfriend. She is just someone for Greg to report back to. He is eager to tell someone of the crazy things he’s seen.
As for Tamara being in Storybrooke…if Neal is engaged to her, maybe he *did* open up to her about the past…although he’d be hardpressed to get anyone to believe him. Who knows?

I agree for the most part on both of your points. I definitely don’t think ‘her’ is an important character. But she COULD be, the only evidence really pointing to that was when Greg called Her and was all “you’re never going to believe this…”
I’m just not convinced that Greg and Her are really actually fairytale or other world characters yet. If they are, we need some backstory desperately. As for Tamara… I guess I don’t know how Neal would be engaged to someone that wouldn’t know about the magical world. Or…. she’s about to find out? Haha. Either she’s magic, or she’s not. One of two ways. I could see them making her Tiger Lily and Hook doing something to use her against Neal, and I’m not sure if I’m down with the fairy!theories yet, either. SOO many possibilities.
February 20, 2013 at 6:13 pm #174506snowredParticipantUgh I don’t like the idea that he has a fiance either. And while I do think this is an opportunity for Emma to Hook up with um..Hook …I think it would be kind of weird. She’d be hooking up with the guy that was with Henry’s Great Grandma, who’s Hooks Love & Neal/Bae’s mom … Dysfunctional is a nice way of putting it lol. 😆
February 20, 2013 at 6:15 pm #174507beastwhispererParticipantDon’t forget that “Her” has seen Regina using magic in the video that Greg sent. The hints suggest that will have repercussions for SB. Greg is the threat that SB knows about, but he’s far from the only potential threat here. Letting him send videos of magic to an unknown character with a potentially sinister monicker on his phone then dropping it would be a huge narrative waste, imo. It’s possible, but the setup just doesn’t say throwaway character to me.
February 20, 2013 at 7:45 pm #174531pjsparklesParticipantTo me she could be any of those characters (Tiger Lily is least likely though) but I would be sorely disappointed if she was one of these characters and romantically linked to Neal. Neal wants to hide from that world. He said if he knew who Emma was he wouldn’t have wanted anything to do with her. So Tamara could be someone magical but I doubt Neal would know or actually be romantically linked to her. Here’s hoping she’s a normie.
February 20, 2013 at 8:41 pm #174539mich7Participantlol some people are saying that the fact that the spoiler says that Emma isn’t going to forgive Neal or ask for him to be in her life romantically that it means that they are never going to get back together 🙄 Where do people get this stuff from…eventually she’ll have to forgive him…it’s called character development…and if one happens so can the other…besides they said over the next few episodes that she would be dealing with emotional baggage…I bet she’ll forgive him after or during Selfless, Brave, and True. I’m not saying that they’ll get back together but saying that it won’t happen over the course of the season because of a spoiler for one specific episode is a little ridiculous…and yes it is for one episode because it says she finds out about the fiancee when she is in the midst of asking him about being in Henry’s life.
It’s like saying that the Charmings are about to split the sheets and go their separate ways because there was a spoiler about there being trouble between them because PC wanted to return to FTL and Snow wanted to stay in our world.
As for the stuff people are saying about “Her”…if I’m not mistaken I think they said somewhere that “Her” was not important.

That is what I thought and the license plate too. 😕
