That is what I thought and the license plate too. 😕
Yes I do believe they included the licence plate as well…that neither it nor “Her” were important.

Correct. All of that is just supposed to indicate that Greg is from the outside world.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"February 21, 2013 at 12:56 am #174578tabsicleParticipantOk I am not happy that Nealfire has a fiance. My first reaction was wanting feeling sorry for Emma, but after reading some of ya’lls posts, I’ve come up with these ideas:
Theory 1
So from the Canadian spoiler clip we’ve learned that Neal did infact go to a different land before our world, presumably Never Never Land (where people don’t age). I’ve seen from a lot of theories, that Nealfire is Peter Pan. That doesnt sit well with me for some reason. Like it’s too obvious. I think that Baelfire was put in Never Never Land, but I don’t think that he’s Peter Pan. I think that he’s one of the lost boys, such as Nibs, or Slightly (who did return to our world in the story and become adopted, Peter never did).
So if I’m right (doubtfully, but still), than I’m guessing that Tamara could be Tinkerbelle or Tiger Lilly. In the original story Tinkerbelle and Tiger Lilly both had a thing for Peter Pan, and with HUGE jealousy issues I might add. So why would she be with Baelfire, unless the real Peter told her to or “banished” her. If the real Peter came to our world, Tinkerbelle and the lost boys would follow. Maybe they came to our world looking for Captain Hook. But now Tinkerbelle wants to find Peter (who’d probably still be trying to get Hook (when he’s actually in SB)). And is using the engagement as a ruse.Because Neal is still completly in love with Emma still. Why eles would Neal keep the dream catcher hanging up?
Theory 2
She could be the dark fairy, that I believe was mentioned at some point before. She’d want to go to SB to get back at the other fairies, for some reason, but disguised herself somehow. And got Neal to agree to a fake engagement so she could be accepted in SB. Perhaps his reasoning is because he wants Emma to be jealous, or Rumple to be mad because Rumple doesn’t like fairies.
Anyway those are my theories on who Tamara is and why she’s going to SB. I do want some more Hook/ Emma flirtation to go on, perhaps a small fling. Because Emma and Nealfire are each other’s true loves in my opinion, so it’d kinda hurt finding out Neal has a “fiance”, so who better to turn to for comfort than the dashing swaggerness of Hook. But in the end I think that she’d realize Hook is all wrong for her, and then somehow end up with Neal later.
Time to hide your crazy, and start acting like a lady.

Since the writers love to put twists on characters, this would be perfect. But I think that SwanFire will end up as the final pairing.
I also had a theory that Regina will use the knife to have Rumple kill Cora, as Cora says in the Canadian Promo, “I’ll use that dagger to have the Dark One kill anyone you like.” So since Cora and Regina eventually end up with the dagger(http://vancityfilming.com/once-upon-a-time-regina-and-cora-use-magic/#prettyPhoto) I think Cora will hand it to Regina and she will make Gold kill Cora. Just my theory though…

Yes, I hope that’s what Regina’s plan is too. It’s gonna take something major for Regina to prove her willingness to change and earn even a tiny bit of trust from everyone, and saving them all from Cora would do the trick quite nicely.

I’ve never seen a direct quote stating that “Her” is unimportant from Jane Espenson. As far as I know people keep attributing that to the Barbara Barnett’s interpretation of her interview with Jane Espenson from In the Name of the Brother (as she discussed during her Tiny show and Manhattan preview). However, that was never said in the original interview. Here’s a rough transcription of the discussion of “Her” with Jane:
BB: The phone number on his cellphone “Her” is that just being enigmatic or might there be a significance to that?
JE: Oh it wasn’t a number. It’s, you know, the name he’s programmed into his phone, so clearly there is a woman in his life whom he coyly, affectionately clued into his phone as “Her”. Uh. And we don’t know who “Her” is. Um…
BB: Might we find out at some point?
JE: Oh I’m sure we’ll find out at some point. It’s gonna be… this show, you know, we’re doing very well. I think this show could run for ten more years. Eventually you’ll find out everything.
BB: Eventually.
JE: I think that’s the kind of thing you should expect to find out probably this season. So yeah.
Nothing there said that “Her” isn’t important. If the identity of “Her” is something we should be expecting to find out probably this season, she could be Tamara just as easily as a generic female from Greg’s life. Interesting that Jane didn’t just write “Her” off as nobody and coyly didn’t comment on who “Her” really is. Jane Espenson did go on to say something about not worrying about the license plate for now in the next few questions. Barbara Barnett didn’t sound like she was referring to a seperate discussion with Jane during the time she was talking about “Her” being unimportant during the Manhattan preview:
BB: Kelly asked us… she wants to know who the “Her is. Um. Okay. I can tell you that it’s not significant. It’s “Her”… it’s somebody that the uh… that is not… When I asked Jane about that she was like…. well it’s a female and it’s someone important to him. And I don’t think it’s like anymore…. I mean it’s like people were kinda focusing on the license plate, Greg’s license plate, and the point of that was to know that he was from out of town.
What I get out of that is that Barbara thinks it’s unimportant from the way Jane discussed it during their In the Name of the Brother interview (saying that it’s someone he coyly and affectionately clued into his phone). That doesn’t mean that Barbara is correct. It sounds like she completely missed Jane saying that we should expect it to be revealed. So without a direct quote from Jane Espenson I’m not taking someone else’s interpretation as absolute truth.

THIS! When I was listening to the 2nd BB podcast thingo, I was wondering if she’d been talking about a separate interview, because she was recalling Jane’s comments differently to how I’d remembered hearing them. BB also said that the final flashback in Manhattan would reveal who the real big bad is, and in actual fact…not so much…so I wouldn’t take her interpretations as gospel.
February 22, 2013 at 3:07 am #174789dena81ParticipantI doubt HER is Tamara though. I still think she might be Tiana but the fact she might be the dark fairy could be very interesting. I had thought the wand Rumple had taken was from the Fairy he destroyed with Cinderella? Unless he didn’t really destroy her and she became Tamara though I’d assume they’d keep the same actress? Very interesting idea. She clearly is not a regular person and it would be interesting if the whole thing turns out to be fake (as a Swanthief fan I want that XD) Though I could also see him doing it as a symbol to move on as he thinks he can never see her again especially if she’s in SB with Rumple at the time. I’m not entirely certain though it would sit well with me if Neal just was over her….I doubt that he gulped far too many times and winced when she said she loved him. There was still pain there and you don’t just keep a keepsake of someone you’re over, especially on the window that is the first thing you see when you step into your apartment…
February 22, 2013 at 7:02 am #174810iheartnealcParticipantI believe that (T)amara may be (T)inker bell?If you go back and read older spoilers from the writers, they reveal that we “may” get to meet Peter Pan and tinkerbell!!! My vote for Peter Pan is that it will be neal! (From Canada promo for 2×15) me, going by the movie hook, tinkerbell was in love with Peter Pan????!!!! So what if the actually hooked up? Therefore, she became the fiancé. 💡
