To be honest I don’t think he is very handsome compared to the Huntsman and August, plus in that Tallahassee Episode he look like a bum and so much older then Emma.
Here’s teh thing it’s not even about looks, it’s about chemistry. In Tallahassee you saw a side of Emma you had never seen before. The same holds true in Manhattan, the way she shook, the hold he still had on her clearly that I don’t even think he really noticed right off the bat. Trust me the Emma tag on Tumblr is so much more now filled with swan thief it’s nuts (I love it though!). I’ve seen a lot of fencers and even other shippers go and say they now like Swan Thief, so I have seen an increase in fans.

I love the idea of Neal being able to sail Hook’s ship. Do they leave Hook behind though? Or is he tied up in the bottom?? 😀 I like the idea of him being tied up because then he can’t do anything stupid. Does Tamara join the merry crew? *and maybe fall overboard…*
Also, if they have the ship, then chances are they are going to explore what Cora and Hook have been hiding on the ship. Emma could find Cora’s heart!Ooh. You’re right…! Maybe they’ll find something on board.
Maybe Tamara will fall for Hook. *joins prayer circle* C’mon, Hook – don’t let me down. She’s a pretty girl, right? Use your charm for good, just this once. I BEG OF YOU.
Ooooh! AND if she is Tinkerbell, in the Disney version of Peter Pan Tink does betray Peter to Hook because of how hurt she is over his growing friendship with Wendy! Maybe Tamara will do the same and then Neal will leave her.
While I don’t think that Emma will be Wendy specifically, I do like this idea of them using that particular theme. If there was a Wendy in Onceiverse history, then there’d be a precedent for Tink acting up like this.

There really wasn’t anything about his apartment that said girlfriend. Even in this episode it looked like a bachelor pad with the only memento of a female being Emma’s dreamcatcher. Since Henry was told to hide in the bathroom, one would think he’d be old enough to notice a second toothbrush too. LOL
I’m thinking that the Neal/Tamara relationship is a relatively new thing. If, as I’m assuming, the scene of her bumping into him is when they met, and that was around the time when August was on his way to SB, then they’ve been together, what, 6 months-ish? Certainly less than a year. That’s one of the reasons it’d fit for me if she’s Tink and Neal is Pan, because that fairy was sorta hyper, overbearing, feisty, and crushing on Pan, so I could see her rushing him into giving her a ring if she found herself in the position of being human and the same age as him.

That really irked me too! I wonder how much fans’ opinions factor into the writing of the show?
I’m guessing they considered changing the Nealfire thing for all of 5 seconds before dropping the idea. I’m confident that they have a gameplan laid out for how they want the story to go, and by and large, they’ll stick to it, but as with any story writers, they need to remain flexible enough to course correct if one of their original ideas plays out like a disaster once they bring it to life. I doubt they’d compromise their overall vision for their story though, which is why they kept Nealfire.

Exactly…the chemistry is really amazing…and I don’t know how people always jump to the conclusion that because a character is popular or well liked that it has to be about looks. I happen to think that Ian Somerhalder is very attractive and I love Damon on Vampire diaries but I absolutely hated Boone on Lost…it was the character that made the difference. Just for the record I do find MRJ attractive but that is my personal taste…not everyone likes the same type of guy.

From your fingers to the writers ears. 🙂
You know they’ll drag this out for awhile. I agree that SwanFire is endgame but it’s not going to happen until at least season 3. So we, the fans, have to keep the faith. They better at least give us some sexual tension between the two before season 3…a few longing looks when the other one is not looking…something to keep us going.

Yeah, pretty much this. I smell a love triangle in the works for these two.
February 25, 2013 at 6:42 pm #175475kfchimeraParticipantWell Neal’s fiance, may save us from a storyline of Neal being partnered with Regina. That would be the daytime Soap approach, because after all, Regina is the adopted mother of his son…so if nothing else, the Fiance is good for that!

February 25, 2013 at 8:25 pm #175484mich7ParticipantI thought Regina was supposed to be looking for love but maybe that was really about love from Henry and her mother rather than romantic love. I actually thought they might hook her up with Archie at one time but he disappeared soon after Belle rescued him. Personally though I don’t think Tamara is any less a soap opera approach than Regina…it’s all in the same category imo.

I think they might eventually pair up Regina and Hook. Both have lost their true loves and both have been betrayed by Cora (or at least Regina will be…probably) and both have that anti-hero streak in them.
