Of course he would know the difference. What exactly did he tweet? We have no idea exactly what he means by 60 minutes is all i am saying. I just don’t believe they filmed that much extra because it seems like such a waste of time and resources and they are already on a tight, hectic schedule, really long hours and are on a budget trying to get the episodes looking good. It just doesn’t make sense to me.

Sometimes a scene looks great on paper but doesn’t translate well on screen, or it doesn’t work with the episode as a whole. It certainly seems logical to have something extra rather than not having enough to fill the time. Somebody who knows television production methods could speak more intelligently to that than I.
As I recall the twitter message someone had asked specifically about any deleted scenes for
“Skin Deep” and RC replied that they had filmed a total of about 60 minutes, which would mean about 15 minutes of unused scenes. Don’t know if that was just Rumple/Belle scenes or just that this is their stndard practice.March 10, 2012 at 3:58 am #138527ciela_crowParticipantIt would be so awesome if they had all the deleted scenes on the dvd! I’m pretty sure weedith has it right on the whole extra scenes thing. I thought “Skin Deep” was really good. While Belle was at Rumple’s castle months had passed. So thats Why she wasn’t so scared. And remember, she wanted to be the “hero”. So thats why she went with him with her head held high. But i do agree, I think she still should of been sort of scared.
Rumplegoldfan- Aww, I even memorized how to spell Rumplegoldfranksti. 🙂

I thought people were saying release the 60 minutes like there was 60 minutes of extra footage which seems crazy. Even 15 minutes seems like a bit much. I wouldn’t think that there would be more then two deleted scenes in an episode and maybe some trimming of scenes. I don’t know though.
March 10, 2012 at 4:49 am #138532weedithParticipant60 extra minutes would be awesome! But unfortunately that’s not going to happen. I think you’re right that we will maybe get one deleted scene. The only ones I have ever seen on DVDs are scenes that have gone all the way through post-production with music and sound and all that good stuff. Ones they decide right away they aren’t going to use wouldn’t get all those finishing touches and I don’t think they ever release those.

You know how sometimes they call the UN-RATED, extended version of an R-rated movie’s DVD the ‘Director’s Cut Edition’???
Oh my – wouldn’t that be fabulous – the 60 minute un-rated, extended, director’s version of ROBERT CARLYLE in “Skin Deep” 😀 😳 😮 😀 😳 😮 😀 😳 😮
“Well, one can wish . . .”
Sorry, couldn’t resist : )
March 10, 2012 at 2:25 pm #138547hjbauParticipantThere was a show called Legend of the Seeker and it released some of the unfinished scenes that it cut from episodes. Like there would still be green screen in some of them. On the dvd. So it is possible. Though since the fariytale Belle and Rumpel scenes are almost all CGI i am not sure how that would work.

On Abc.con’s photo gallery there are some “behind the scenes” pics from “Skin Deep” that give hints as to what the scenes look like before the CGI is added.
March 10, 2012 at 3:19 pm #138550hjbauParticipantI would imagine everything is CGI but the props like the tables and objects and like maybe the door or just the wood around the door and the shelves at the one end. That is a lot of green screen. The walls and everything and possibly the doors are fake. I am not sure if the golden fleece is real or not or if they just added some glow to it.
March 10, 2012 at 10:46 pm #13856841rapunzelParticipantthey have brought in King Midas and Sirens so it wouldn’t surprise me if they brought in the golden fleece.
