- Black Fairy is a buddy/ally of WWW/Maleficent/Regina/Rumple/Cora/Pan/Shadow
I like #2 the best. Or #1, for obvious reasons!
Or the Black Fairy is Morgan le Fay (la fée is French, meaningfairy).
I. LOVE. THIS!!! Why hasn’t anyone thought of that???

Although her skin is green, she dresses in all black.
I agree not only because of that but also we know the next big bad is the WWW. They wouldn’t make someone else the black fairy on top of the WWW for big bad villainness. It’s not a coincidence that they first mention the Black Fairy in the same episode where we get the WWW promo
Unless the Black Fairy is the one pulling the strings of course, and the current next big bad isn’t as bad as we thought.
I don't cause commotions, I am one.

I LOVE this idea. My money’s mostly on the Wicked Witch of the West, but I would be overjoyed if it was Morgan le Fey. The way they’ve set things up points to the WWW, but we’ve only seen/heard Oz references in passing, and time hasn’t been spent on them in the show. With the Arthur mythology on the other hand, we’ve seen Sir Lancelot, one of the most well known characters from the stories, and he’s played a major role in Charming and Snow’s past. We’ve also seen a fake Excalibur. We know that there is an original, and that it’s in the realm of Camelot.
I really hope The Black Fairy ends up being Morgan le Fey. 🙂

Unfortunately not the clearest screencap of the black wand, but it was the best I could get. Anyway, those things must be connected somehow, yes? We’ve seen other wands that have a very different design, but these three are SO matchy, so I have to think it’s not random.December 17, 2013 at 3:02 am #231666GaultheriaParticipantAlso, the Black Fairy is Nova. lol.
She could do it. When her character went dark on Angel, she lost all the silliness and became seriously menacing.

LOVVVVE that and it would be so awesome. Aruthurian Mythos for the WIN also having Maleficent and Sleeping Beauty back story would be awesome as well. (another of mine and my moms faves) ^ ^
Also in Fae/Fairy lore there is typically two courts the Seelie and Unseelie; Light and Dark respectively. So I would not besurpise if there was some sort of power grab or schism etc. At one point or another especially with magical beings with major differences of Options/beliefs about magic/goals.

On that note, anyone looking for a way to ease the next three months should try the Dresden Files books.

Same. I really like the idea, just not sure if they would considering they are bringing the WWW right now

I really think that whoever she is, the Black Fairy and the Blue fairy have more of a history together beyond “Blue exiled her”

Exactly. Love it
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"December 17, 2013 at 6:03 pm #231834darkones1fanParticipantActually I have a theory that maybe the Black Fairy could actually be Maleficent. Now here me out. If I remember the tales correctly Maleficent was actually called a fairy in either the Disney version of Sleeping Beauty or the original. Just that she didn’t look like a fairy and she was evil. It is possible that Maleficent in ONCE was a fairy who blue took her wings. But Maleficent continued to study in the arts of black magic even post fairy loss.
December 18, 2013 at 12:41 am #231958PheeParticipantMaleficent is definitely a candidate, and I’d actually love it to be her because I really wanna see her again.
The issue I see with that is that apparently Blue exiled the Black Fairy, but Maleficent didn’t seem very exiled-by-the-oldest-magical-being-ever-who-wanted-to-get-rid-of-her. If Blue exiled a super powerful fairy, would she allow said fairy to stay in FTL and re-gain enough power to mess stuff up there? Exiling the Black Fairy by sending her away to another world sounds more likely to me, especially considering we’ve seen Blue give the, “their dark magic doesn’t belong in this world, so here’s a bean to take them far away,” speech before.
So even though we have that vague “sources say no” spoiler about Black Fairy not being WWW, I still think it could fit quite nicely. Exiled fairy wants to regain powers and ends up as WWW could make sense.
