Part of me wants them to so that we’ll get more 1 on 1 action with any combination of the group cause all of them would be very interesting to see and would force some of them to talk which could be interesting / amusing depending on how they get split up. There are so many pairings that I would like to see have 1 on 1 action so I have no idea which way they’d lean but it would be interesting regardless.
I’m torn though because I kinda want to see how awesome the group will be as a whole too. I think if they do split it somebody with magic would be in each group (to make them all less vulnerable) but I think it would be kinda cool to see them all together and fighting some big battle to rescue Henry which would be great. There are lots of good sword-fighters in the group, people with magic, and so much interpersonal drama that group or smaller groups it should be amazing!!

SpectatorEmma is suppose to be good at finding people hopefully it will work in NL, if they do spilt up it would be fun to have the Charmings vs Rumble, Hook, and Regina. I love it when Regina and Rumble try to out wit each other. Another reason with this spilit Rumble, Hook and Regina will have to learn to trust each other.
I also hope Rumble turns back to his old self so Emma can get a dish of what her parents saw. 😆 In addition still calling Snow and PC, Mom and Dad 😛

ParticipantAn interesting question with splitting up is whom each party would trust to do whatever needs doing. I mean, Regina and Emma have their son on the line, and barely trust each other with Henry. (Emma’s taken Henry from Regina plenty of times, and Emma knows Regina’s happy to take Henry and kill the rest of them and even use magic on Henry…) So do they need to be together to make sure the other doesn’t do something stupid or not? All of them rightfully see Gold and Hook as loose canons who switch alliances regularly, though only Belle knows about the prophecy with Gold that makes him a potential threat to Henry. And even though she’s been saved by them OVER and OVER despite trying to kill them all the time, Regina doesn’t trust the Charmings one bit more than they trust her. Hook doesn’t have much reason to trust them or Emma either, considering that David just told him he’d shoot him in the face and Emma’s double crossed him before.
And David and MM aren’t going to want to be apart if it can be helped. Nor are they going to be happy about letting Emma out of their sight along with any of the “villains.”
From our perspective it would make sense to pair up one “good” guy and one “bad” guy if they needed three groups…and of course the various ships would have LOTS to say about that. (And personally I’d love to see more David + Gold teamwork cuz of reasons. But if you did that, and gave the CaptainSwan crew their bliss, poor Snow would be stuck with Regina…)
I am really really really looking forward to seeing how this crew deals with finding Henry. And hoping that Neal and Belle truly aren’t forgotten (Adam keeps promising they won’t be) but instead have awesome adventures getting back to Gold. Whatever stuff they’ve done that’s annoying…they have, as always, set up stuff that can go in really awesome directions.

ParticipantIf Rumple or Regina can cloak the ship, then it would make a good home base for them where they could remain undetected if need be. But if they’re gonna go up against PP, that will have to happen on land. GOAT will be taking Henry somewhere on land. So it’s inevitable that Charmingstiltskins&Co will have to be on land.
We dunno yet if Hook actually set foot on the island in NL in the past, but I like to think he did, because I’m hoping he attempted to rescue Bae, and encountered PP during that. So going with that assumption, he’d know exactly where on the island PP is, and therefore exactly where Henry is likely to be, and how to get there, so they’d all have to stick together so Hook could be their guide. Unless of course Rumple fesses up that he too has been there, (which many of us are assuming he was) and knows his way around, but I’m not convinced he’d want to volunteer that information, at least not immediately, which would be fun to see because Rumple would have to play dumb and let Hook order him around, two things that Rumple would not enjoy.
We don’t know yet if they’ll incorporate the Native Americans that traditionally live in NL. If they do, then again, that’s something that Charmingstiltskins&Co will have be on land for if they’re gonna interact with them. Also, my Ariel headcanon has her living as a human in present day NL, so I’d want them on land to be able to run into her.
So, yeah, I’m not sure that there’ll really be that much time spent on the boat once they get there, which should happen pretty quickly. And I imagine that once they’re there, they won’t wanna hang around on the boat twiddling their thumbs when Henry needs saving.

I hope the writers somehow find a loophole around the ‘never leaving’ Neverland if you step foot on soil.
Dunno that they’d have to create a loophole. I think the thing that controls who can and can’t leave NL is PP. So all they have to do is defeat PP, and then there’s nothing stopping them from leaving. Then they can dump pixie dust on the ship and fly right outta there.

I’m calling it now. The final shot of S3 is the JR flying out of NL with pixie dust, and landing in Oz like the Wizard’s balloon.
As to if they will split up: apart from allowing greater character development, it would also make the most sense. You can cover more ground that way. Hook and Rumple have both been to NL before, so they can lead each party. It’s just a matter of who goes with whom. In my head:
–Hook (the fighter and has been in NL), Regina (the magic), Snow (because you need Snow and Regina together for conflict)
–Rumple (has been in NL and has magic), Emma (magic), Charming (the fighter and also because I want more DaddyCharming moments)"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"June 4, 2013 at 1:37 pm #197172HappyEndings
SpectatorWhy can’t Rumble do his tracking spell like he did with PC ring for Snow for Henry? I wonder if he ever told her that is how he found her but in any case why can’t they do something like that ❓ .
Instead of Oz maybe it will to Aladdin and Jarr place 😉

They need something of Henry’s first. I don’t know if they have anything of his on the ship.

ParticipantThe problem with splitting the group up is that it divides the narrative yet again…and we already have (not even counting potential flashbacks) the JR crew, Henry with Greg and Tamara, the gang back in Storybrooke, and Neal in EF. That’s a lot of threads!
I don’t think they will be sailing too long either as I’d imagine the bean would take them straight there, although I can definitely see them staying on the ship for a while trying to figure out their next move. Is there something about the island that holds you there once you set foot on land? They’ve sort of implied that there was.
I wonder how magic works in Neverland…if it is different than EF or Storybrooke.
While seeing Rumple as his old self again would be amusing- Emma’s reaction for instance- I am not so sure they’d actually go that route. He has changed so much after his time in Storybrooke. His whole manner is different. It would be strange for him revert back….not to mention poor Robert Carlyle having to wear the crazy make up all the time in both the past and the present!
I do hope we get an explanation for why Belle’s kisses don’t affect Rumple in Storybrooke though!
