I just got an amazing idea. Nonnie suggested that perhaps the wicked witch was in SB and then somehow world hopped to the FTL. I was thinking of ways that could happen (perhaps the monkeys can fly to different lands like shadows or like how mermaids can swim to different lands, etc) but then I realized that perhaps her broomstick can travel to different lands.

Now sure, its just a unjustified theory but think about it. What did the wizard ask Dorothy to bring him? The broomstick of the witch of the west. And when he got it, what did he do? He left Oz. You would have to twist the story up a bit for it to make sense but not really not twist it that much :P. What do you guys think?

Oh I like the idea of the broom being a means of travel between worlds. There needs to be other portals since curses are too dangerous, the beans are gone, Pan’s shadow is gone, and the magic wardrobe is toast. 🙂

Nothing is impossible on OUAT. Everything has a way of repeating itself. Keeper of the Keeper tread: https://oncepodcast.com/forums/topic/official-keeper-thread-3/#post-217924

Just a thought. Maybe she doesn’t like riding that broomstick, and would prefer so thing more fashionable, like slippers. Possibly she can’t find them in the Enchanted Firest, or Rumple fibs and tells her they were last seen in storybrook, which is now gone. Zelena recreates storybrook exactly as it was so she can search for the slippers.

The slippers can do other things than just transportation. So if the broom can travel to different lands, I’m sure she wants the slippers for more sinister reasons. Maybe to exact her revenge on Regina, that would explain why the witch hasn’t just killed her yet 😮

Love the idea of the broom being a portal device!

I’m sticking with my theory that those slippers are Ruby’s slippers. I don’t know how she got them, but they’re Ruby’s slippers.
