Just saw this theory on another site & think it’s interesting given how Frozen ties into the show/parallels some of the other stuff going on
I´ve been thinking and What If Emma had magic when she was a baby (just like Zelena) and she did something (hurt someone?)and that was the real reason why her parents gave her back to the sistem and not because they were having their own?????
Emma was told that she was given back because they lied about it. What if when they are in the middle of a hot making out session, she does something to Killian… IDK what exactly and she remembers hurting that person when she was only 3 and gets scared that just like Elsa, she might be danger around him because she CANT control herself when it comes to him and that means either her magic…
IDK…Im just sayin
Or like someone said they didnt want her hurting the baby (sister or brother)- more likely
yeah, it would make sense if they gave her up so she wouldnt hurt the baby they were having- When/If Emma realizes she was abandoned again bc of being the savior or having magic, she will feel really bad and hate her magic again like Elsa did, kinda? because she could have had a different life, she could have had a home…
She will try to protect him and i think somehow she will send him streight to the fire, and he will end up getting the frozen heart because of it— and well , you know, she will have to save himFrom Once Upon A Time SPOILERS FB page/group.
I’d be fine if they did something like this- I actually think it’s rather clever & could make for some good story telling 🙂

Conventions always are great fun because you get to see the real people behind the characters and how they interact. It can be quite magical for genuine fans and performers to be together. A celebration of the positive. A real upbeat kick in the butt for everyone! Rewarding for all. Even the diehard marketers from the networks/parent companies can give in to a bit of the magic!
It is refreshing to watch the actors and creators input about their work away from the verbose, relentless and often purposeful morale destroying whining of social media inhabitants.
Fictional entertainment while it can and should be thought provoking at times, provides an escape from reality and bottom line should provide an exciting level of joy to fans. Conventions magnify that to the nth degree.
If people can’t find joy in it, and continue to hang around, they can only blame themselves for any wallowing misery they continually create surrounding themselves.
@surayya~I read something very similar to that and agree with you that parts of that parallel could be incredibly interesting! Especially the part of her unknown magic that could have caused some damage as a child. That all may be deeper hidden than even Emma knows. (It would also take a step towards the Frozen arc being much more cerebral/adult and tied into our established characters and not just a marketing nod to the more childlike animation of “continuing Disney”)Between Emma and Hook we are dealing with some extraordinary emotional baggage! That is why the possible heart and soul outcome of their relationship could be so intensely rewarding. We have already seen how deeply Hook feels things behind his smoldering “rapscallion” persona…and Emma’s walls of stoic cynicism and fear have been very well presented. The possibilities of them realizing a sensational life connection are truly the stuff of the “thinking woman’s” dream come true.
(and it would be immensely poetic fun to see Emma fight FOR Hook)
@Jenna~ Unless the writers want to take a step backward to revisit the missing Bae/Hook/ Pan/Tink/Darlings/ Neverland years for EVERYONE the entire Hook/Neal connection should remain a done deal. I truly don’t think Hook needs to struggle with Neal’s death because his connection was with the teenaged boy, not the man Bae became. They made their peace before Neal died. Neal’s death was Neal’s doing, and had nothing to do with Hook.
Amid all the complaining over- statement that Hook evilly and maliciously betrayed Bae to Pan, it is ignored that Bae chose to leave Hook. Bae basically and passionately threw everything back in Hook’s face about Hook’s heartfelt offer to fight for him and create a home for him. That had to wound Hook rather deeply as well, even though he reacted in defensive anger at the time. Hurt is hurt on both sides. He may have felt guilt, but Bae did survive, as did he.
The only way to stay progressive about anything dredging up Neal again would be to attach it to a Henry/Hook storyline with Hook helping him know his father and that would only involve young Bae because he is the only part of that character that Hook knew well.
Alive or dead, there are pages of every characters’s story that will be left blank because of the sheer amount of stories there are to tell. Some questions will always be left unanswered in the time frame alloted the storytellers. Besides any “Young Cora-like” flashback, Neal’s story has pretty much been told for all intents and purposes.

@ bo-peeps, yeah…that comment about Hook and Neal was made in a rather optimistic moment but then certain folks in the fandom handed out another serving of ‘woe is Neal’ and nothing the writers/actors do is right…which finally made me snap. So frankly, let’s give the kid who’s got the same name a good nickname and never hear the word Neal again. (Never thought I’d reach that breaking point, I always liked Neal but I’ve been hit with one too negative comments by Neal ‘fans’ so there you have it. Thanks kids.)
So let’s focus on the fun our pirate promised us!! And if you haven’t watched the videos definitely do so. The gifs are awesome but the energy and excitement that Jen & Colin exude in the videos makes the comments and quotes and gifs 1000x better!

Jmo: It’s complicated. It’s always the answer on television, I think. We have to deal with Emma’s struggles with her past and some internal stuff that she’s afraid of, that will eventually be revealed a few episodes in. You’ll start to see why she’s so specifically fighting letting go. Uh, God. I didn’t even mean it. [sings] Let it go. Let it go. [Colin laughs] And then, I don’t know from your side, I only know from my side.
Colin: I mean. Hook gave up his ship.
Jmo: I knoooow. I’ve had these conversations-
Colin: He’s trying. He’s trying real hard to make it work, but it’s also, I mean, look, the thing is, for Hook, it’s like, a big deal for him to realize he can love again. Or that he could find somebody that he was willing to give up the whole vendetta for. He’s also a pirate. He’s still Captain Hook. You know what I mean? So he had to deal with that. And sort of hundreds of years of living as this person and trying to become someone he feels is worthy of Emma.
Jmo: Isn’t that sweet?
