So yeah, there’s a lot I can put up with in regards to plot holes, major continuity issues, dropped story lines and characters, etc., but not destroying Snow’s, Henry’s, and Robin’s characters COMPLETELY, and Emma’s to some extent, to the point that they’re nearly unrecognizable. I
I have to agree with you… I have been disappointed and feel like i did in Season 2… DVR and fast forwarding my way through. I feel as if so many of the characters are out of character… i’m sure we could create a pretty big list… but the thing that bugs me the most ( and I do like Regina – Evil and trying to redeem herself ) is that the Charming and Emma are not only willing for forgive her but are practically begging for her to be their friend.
Come on… I am totally on board with Regina’s redemption and that she gets a Happy Ending once she fully redeems herself. I can understand the Charming forgiving her because that’s what those Hero types do… but to want to be friends? with the woman who literally ruined your life, separated you and your husband, your child, ruined your child’s life, murdered your family and friends
And Robin… Jack A** … i get that you love the woman that she has become, but how do you forget that she is the reason you – emphasis on the WERE – a widower and a single dad to your motherless son. Because REGINA MURDERED her. how do you forget that. How do you try to find the author of this book to strong arm a Happy Ending while your WIFE is trapped in a curse. Maybe you and Will should be hunting for a answer to that problem instead. and what a whiner…
Killian has it right. Did he give up his vengeance – check. allowed the crocodile on the JR – check. Hasnt attempted to kill him – sort of check. ( will not included the car with the ‘tainted’ hand since Rumple was messing with Killian’s Mind there. Are they buddy buddy going to the Rabbit Hole for some pints of ale – Big Fat Negative there.
Daddy Charming bugged me too… Snow must be the worse mom going but you kind of expect it the way they write her… but Charming is 100% in Emma’s corner and now he thinks she needs to get rid of her magic to be ‘normal.’ what ????
And Emma… she is the poster child for cool, calm and controlled… she is super controlled… anything threatens she shuts down, tightens up and runs. Now this season she freaks over everything? cant control magic that she previously had to struggle to even summon before and now its the first reaction. she is most ocd/anal about letting her emotions show and now they are sparking all over town. and she wants to be BFF with Regina? the list of ??? is just too big here.
I just feel like Season 4 was re written at the last minute to fit in Frozen and they are making everyone change just to fit the story line.
sorry for the long, rambling post. I never have time to pop in anymore and the season’s disappointment kind of popped out. OHHHHH and how many commercials did that 2 HR night have? was that really and hour that they dragged into 2? good grief… that was seriously 45% commercials.

In Tumblr’s 2014 Year in Review
I have another question… no CS. As I said I have not been around really since end of S3… and I needed to start from the first page of the forums here. What thread is top on the list as recent posts… Swan Fire. And 1,900+ pages! Huh? Correct me if I am wrong… but isnt their ship DEAD? Literally?
The SF thread got a lot of activity after 315 when Neal died and people had a lot of feelings they wanted to share about that particular development of storyline hence why there are so many pages.
I don’t go into the SwanFire thread but the one I did, I think mostly they’re talking about non-SF stuff but to be bluntly honest, if they’re all mostly doing that, just create a general topics thread. Now, I think it’s just a competition with us.
I venture into the SF thread from time to time. I don’t think it is intended as a competition to be honest. Some of the users in the SF thread really don’t like CS so they prefer to stick to the SF thread where it’s a safe haven for them. Naturally, because they don’t venture out of that one thread, all of their conversations, even non SF related ones, are confined to that particular thread hence why there are many more pages.

I’m really proud of my fellow CS ‘shippers for making CS #4 in that Tumblr year end review. I’ve been with ‘ship since the beginning and I remember, the criticism and disbelief from non ‘shippers that it was not going to happen for x y or z reason.
And look at us now!
Our babies are together, they still have stuff they’re going through but it’s only going to make them stronger in the long run. Long run = long haul. And the quote that resonates with me when I think of Captain Swan’s growth comes from Jane Espenson. (She’s awesome).
Storytelling is about arcs because characters change. And if we believe that, we believe people can change. Better to educate than condemn.

Im so proud about both of Hook and Emma’s separate character development. Emma’s come such a long way from season one. She used to be closed off and not quick to trust people and generally, scared to show her vulnerability.
Hook went from a selfish pirate, to caring about other people, to wanting to truly reforming for himself and then for Emma. He even has a bromance with Charming. They even have a nod when they see each other.
You know your ‘ship is something special when even the tiniest romantic gesture, including kissing, is big news all over tumblr and twitter.
Hey @obisgirl, that’s fantastic news! Guess I took it for granted that not everyone believed that CS would be endgame (even before the triangle of doom came to be) I’ve shipped them since Emma had Hook in a chokehold (The Doctor???) and haven’t looked back.

I wonder if people realize that even if things had fallen through with the Peter Pan rights, KILLIAN JONES was still a character that Adam and Eddy had in their back pockets since the beginning of the series — he would be here, in some capacity, with Emma, regardless of what story he was part of.
I’m on my phone and I am at work, so I obviously can’t site sources right now, but I definitely remember an article where they talked about Killian Jones being a character they’d wanted in some capacity from the outset.
Maybe it wasn’t always HOOK who was supposed to be with Emma, but it was DEFINITELY always Killian Jones. That’s why Captain Hook isn’t James Hook as per the original story, that’s why his backstory is different — the point wasn’t getting HOOK on the show, it was getting KILLIAN on the show. There’s a REASON Colin got promoted to series regular before anyone even SAW him in The Crocodile, there’s a reason HE ALONE chemistry tested with Jen.
Emma’s TL is, and has ALWAYS been, Killian Jones. Deal with it.
Peter Pan is Eddy’s favorite and Snow White is Adam’s favorite. As a writer, what do you do with your favorites? You find a creative way to mesh these two worlds together.
Emma is the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming, Hook is a pirate from Peter Pan and Emma was “Princess Leia” and Hook has been referred to as ‘Han Solo with guyliner.”
And Han and Leia ended up together in the end.
