@MysteryKat25 – loved reading your meta! I’m SUPER excited about the script tease, personally I think it’s a flashback but we’ll see!!!!!Loved all the points you made on Neal and Killian as well. The difference is very clear, and as you pointed out with the gifs, the difference is very clear IN CANON. It’s not just an interpretation.
So excited for tonight, thinking we’re going to get the third “As you wish” because it’s a finale and the rule of threes and all that. And going by The Princess Bride, the third time Westley says “As you wish” she realised she loved him back!

"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"@MysteryKat Loved everything you said. Especially the CSF stuff!! After reading what you wrote I wonder if Emma is going to end up getting Hook to reveal the truth about Milah/Bae to her by confronting him about his deciding to step back from her. Because while he made the decision for the right reasons, especially given his past history with a woman he loved who had a son, since Emma doesn’t want Neal I think she will be touched by what he was trying to do but at the same time I think she will make it clear that she never asked him to do that since going back to Neal has really never been an option for her. And I do think she will ask him why he would choose to do that when she never asked him to and that is when I think he will let her know what happened. So she will see that he was doing it just as much for himself and Neal as he was for Emma, Neal and Henry. And I think she will understand that since she has had to deal with the pain of her past since Neal came back, died, and came back again. It would be a good way for her to learn that he has been wounded much greater than just losing Milah and Liam and that he CAN relate to her really well in MANY ways. Plus she will understand just how much Bae means to him – that Neal isn’t glgoing to be this “problem” for Killian because he will always be a part of their lives. But that Killian cared for Bae as a son long before Emma even existed and he will always be special to Killian too just like he will always be special to Emma. I think she will realize that once SHE is clear with Neal, since Neal has now been pretty clear that if she isn’t interested he will stop pursuing, that they can all be friends. Then I think we can see CF repair their relationship because the triangle/non-triangle won’t exist anymore. Honestly, while I do love that Killian decided to step back because I understand why he did it, the one thing that has bothered me is that it is the first time he hasn’t allowed Emma to make the choice in their relationship. But I think that might have been the point in having him do it. Just like you pointed out with Snow lying to Charming and telling him that she didn’t love him. Killian made this decision with the best of intentions, thinking it was best for everyone, but look what happened. Neal got stood up. Snow got her hopes up and pushed Emma toward Neal again. Daddy Charming had to go on a rescue mission to keep Snow away from Emma. And then you have Emma and Killian who were a flippin heart wrenching disaster without each other for even 24 hours. Emma is stressed out and lost because she doesn’t have Killian who has become her compass (see what I did there) for guiding her in the right direction when she gets all wound up and becomes immobile. She no longer has him there to look too for guidance or reassurance that her decision was the right one. And Killian is such a mess he doesn’t even know who he is anymore. He is head over heels in love with Emma and everyone knows it. He has started to become the man he used to be on his road to redemption and when he is with Emma – that IS the man he is. So when she isn’t there, he decides to “drown” the pain of not having her there the way he has been doing so for 300 years – with rum and hitting on woman. But that only worked with his first love. This time it is his TRUE love and those things don’t work so he is just a complete, lost, mess. And when they see each other after being lost for 24 hours without each other neither one has ever been in that kind of situation before so they BOTH act out of character with one another. Emma is jealous when she knows darn wwell she has NO reason to be – the man has professed his undying loyalty to her and she knows his secret. And lies to her, and lies badly – knowing very well that he CAN’T lie to Emma.
So now remember on the island how Snow gave Charming this big speech about how he shoud have told her the truth and the reason he didn’t tell her the truth was because he didn’t believe. But they love each other and that’s what you do when you love each other, you believe. That was a unique time that Charming did NOT believe. Sound familiar?? Instead of telling Emma that he thought he should step back to give her a chance with Neal, he just did it. I don’t think he necessarily thought she was going to pick Neal but he thought that there was a high enough chance that he needed to pull himself out of the equation. I don’t know if Emma will get mad at him like Snow did with charming because I don’t think she has faced her feelings quite yet.

Actually, I disagree here. He is stepping out of the way so Emma can make her decision without his interference, in other words, with a clear head. Let’s face it: when Emma makes her decision about who she wants to be with (we all want it to happen in a way there’s no controversy whatsoever). He knows and we know Emma’s going to choose him. Right now, it’s just watching the journey they take together until they get to that point.

icompletely agree with you obigirl. He is still there he hasn’t left and she knows how he feels. It is up to her to make the next move. It would be wrong and possibly creepy if he aggressively pursues her. All he can do is give her space while providing the help she needs. she knows Hook and that he flirts a lot but it is harmless.
