YES, he was! I think something happened or someone convinced him ( cough*Tink*cough*) in EF for a year that made Hook SURE that Emma is his TL, That’s why he thought to use TLK on her to make her remember instead of using the potion 🙂

Ok so I’ve watched the CS goodbye scene again…a few times…and know it’s not the popular opinion but I am NOT happy. “Good”? “Good”?! If it were clear that Emma thinks she’ll figure out a way to get her and Henry to the EF, then that’s an acceptable answer. Kind of. It’s an Emma answer. But it is not clear that she believes this…so nope, not happy with “good”. Not without a hug or small kiss – heck, I’ll take it on the cheek, I’m not picky! I just seemed kind of…awkward.
Haha although now I’m on the year later scene and that scene IS awesome!
And I know it’s been brought up – and I’m very happy it was my favorite pirate on the other side of the door – I hope they address, quickly, why Hook went and not Neal. I get the baggage bit but at least she’d remember him. Trying to get someone to trust some leather clad pirate talking all crazy like about mom and dad Charming’s definitely going to take some time…not matter how pretty that pirate is!!
I think they were going for the Leia/Han scene “I love you.” “I know” feeling. Trying to keep it simple to remind people of that scene.
I think it was incredibly painful for Emma to have to say to goodbye to Killian so she just . . . doesn’t. But it is very important to her that even though she won’t be able to remember – he will be thinking of her every day. She needs to know that; she needs to know that he is going to think about her every day – just like he thought of Milah every day for 300 years.

haha, well that makes sense why I hated “good”! Love Star Wars and especially Empire…but I HATE when Han says that “I know” to Leia too! I mean really you can’t even muster up a “me too”?!
Honestly, it really would have been kind of “wasteful” to have a big emotional goodbye since she wasn’t going to be able to remember any of it anyway. I think their “moment” made it clear to each other how they feel about each other. But consider the situation, there was a lot of stuff going down and everyone’s emotions were all over the place. They had only minutes to get out across the town line and Regina had only minutes to inact the counter curse. It would have been overwhelming to say the least. I’m amazed she made it through without vomiting – that would have me, puking all over Hook’s boots from how emotionally sick the whole experience would have made me – right before I passed out.

Yes! It’s almost exactly like Heart of Darkness when Charming is convinced that he can fix Snow’s memory problem with a True Love’s Kiss and it doesn’t work. It’s only after his actions that Snow realizes he can back up his words and then the kiss finally works!
SOOOO many early FTL flashback Snowing feels right now! Those first few Snowing episodes are why I fell in love with the show in the first place! I was a mess after someone on tumblr pointed out that Hook saying he’ll think about her every day is almost the identical wording from Charming’s letter to Snow.
Charming’s letter for reference:
Dearest Snow.
I’ve not heard from you since our meeting and can only assume you found the happiness you so desired, but I must let you know not a day goes by that I have not thought of you. In two days time I am to be married. Come to me before then. Come to me and show me you feel the same and we can be together forever. And if you don’t, I will have my answer.
Both were said before the memory loss and failed TLK attempts but…like mother, like daughter! As if there weren’t enough Snow Falls/Tallahassee feels & watching the guys lives change big time in The Shepherd/Good Form, now we have 7:15am & Heart of Darkness with GOING HOME which also has major Pilot stuff including Henry coming to get her to get her to believe. Seriously cannot wait for 3×12 when I expect more Pilot & Henry/Hook parallels! (And I just need my show back, desperately.)

Totally agree @rumplegoldfan!!! Plus, Emma is not ready to confront her feelings for him yet. I never expected anything more than what we got to be honest – but the important thing is that it gave Killian hope.
