LOL- I just remembered, arent we all meant to be ‘mind blown’ after having just discovered who the 2 mains are, that we’d ‘never see coming’ as being related? LOL Think 90% of the fandom had guessed they were sisters from the moment we learnt the WWW was coming — yep we are that good 😉

What actually caught fans attention? The REAL mystery/mind bender is ‘who the flock is the hooded dude?’ BAHAHAHAHA. I do wonder if we blow A&E minds with how we skim over what we know as obvious- since it’s just that, yet how we pick apart/discuss obsessively all facets of a single sec from promo footage LOL – I Love us :p

Yeah, I think Neal going dark is a strong possibility, I’m not sure if it was on here (this site) or not, but I thought Neal might go that way back in S2- his & Rumple’s story just seem to parallel each other to much, not to- even more so now with 3A under our belts!

I’ve always thought it’d make a ‘wicked’ 😉 (couldnt help it, sorry lol) storyline, but I dont know how I feel about given we pretty much know who spoiler of doom is about….. we all know the road to hell is paved with good intentions, it just seems a bit sad, if not logical way for it to happen.

I love how we’ve gone from TL being simple- person 1 + person 2 = TL, to having it be more like a bowl of fruit loops lol- it’s all sorts of colours (relationships), has lots of movement (TL kiss wont work on every situation, nor is 1st sight = falling madly in love), has lots of loops (you never know who your TL will be, or how many you will have LOL) & is it nice to look at (Snowing, Rumbelle, CS, OQ- all TL, but all so different) :p

So I posted a bunch of Jen’s tweets from last Sunday (the relevant CS ones) on my tumblr and the one about Hook and Henry continuing to bond in 3B, is getting so many notes.  Currently at 106.

And I wrote a meta about how Hook and Henry bonding is okay, and it’s not an awful thing for him to have another male figure in his life.  I just like seeing a portion of the fandom okay with Hook and Henry bonding. This is a show with so many different and unique relationships already. Henry has two moms, he’ll always have that connection to Neal and Hook becoming quite the team with Henry isn’t going to diminish the relationship Henry has with his father.

And in today’s world, there’s no singular definition of what makes up a family either. But the one that applies to all, is that family are people who love you and typically, does not matter if those people are related to you by blood or not.

Obisgirl, sometimes I think you climbed in my head, grabbed my thoughts and wrote them down.  Making them sound way more eloquent than I would!  🙂

I 100% agree with both your metas – about Neal and about Henry/Hook bonding.

The line that Neal says about having to cast a curse…now if anyone else had said that, I probably wouldn’t even think twice.  But coming from Mr. No Magic Neal?  The guy who wouldn’t let Rumple use magic in NL at the most critical point in saving Henry?  Curses and magic are not something Neal jokes about.  I can see him being well intentioned and getting into a situation to save his father/Emma/Henry, and getting in way too deep very quickly.  When the stakes are that high, so is the temptation.

And regarding Hook & Henry…I have a child and am technically part of a ‘traditional’ family as I am married to my husband who is also my baby daddy.  But that doesn’t mean I want myself and my husband to be the only adult role models in my child’s life!  The adage “it takes a village to raise a child” is true – and it only benefits the child to have many adults to look up to.  Especially at that critical pre-teen/teenage point, when the last people a kid wants to defer to is their parents.  I would love to see Henry and Hook bond before CS is established as a real relationship, and see Hook come to care for Henry as much as he does Emma.  I don’t think this is my any means diminishing Neal’s role in Henry’s life – he is Henry’s father and always will be.  Hook is simply another male there for Henry to go to and look up to, someone who cared deeply for Henry’s father when Neal was close to Henry’s age.

I think Neal could probably go dark this season.  Not extreme dark dark, but desperate enough maybe to make an alliance that isn’t good for everyone. Maybe with a witch with a bad skin condition that happens to be green, even.

not quite sure how Hook and Henry bonding will take away from the Henry Neal relationship. Neal is his father – that is it… he should be and hopefully will always be in his life. What about kids whose parents are divorced and both remarried? Baring any bad blood, I cannot see how 2 sets of parents loving that child is a bad thing… there are way worse situations and family dynamics than that.

Wholeheartedly agree! Coming from a twice broken & 3times blended (3 sets of siblings with different fathers) family myself,  It can & does work. My brother & I’s father was killed, my sister’s & middle brother’s father left (divorce) & my youngest brother’s father, is still with my mother today. Even added to this, there is a MASSIVE gap between me as oldest & my youngest brother age wise. Having step parents isnt the end of the world, I dont know why people are kicking up a stink over Hook/Henry/Neal.  What do they mean by that way of thinking…. that no child can be happy nor love their step father, because they dont have the capacity of feel love for more than 1 male/father figure in their lives or something????

I’d have given my left arm & a number of teeth to have a step father like Killian- he looks/reads as if he’d go to hell & back for a child he considers his family- he was even willing to go against Pan to keep Bae safe, but Bae choose to harshly (& I get why he was harsh- it was an emotional time for the poor kid) turn Hook down- twice! What I’m getting at is that A&E said point blank, that Hook would have “found away to keep Bae safe/protect him” from Pan/lost boys, had he said ‘ok’, even as the lost boys arrived at the Jolly Roger the 2nd time, which means Hook would have/will willingly put his life on the line & those that follow him, to keep his ‘child/family’ safe- even if that child/family is no blood relation of his.

That in no way diminishes Neal as Henry’s father, as I’m sure Neal would do the same for Henry himself (Henry is going to be one lucky kid IMO!) It also wont change Neal being Henry’s father.

The dynamic that has changed (& that I think the CS haters are most concerned with), is the fact that Henry now actually knows EXACTLY what & how his father & mother’s relationship ended. He clearly understands the level of hurt & pain Emma endured, how walled off she is to men/ how her life was effected, so I do wonder how THAT aspect will affect Henry & Neal’s relationship- esp once Henry remembers his past- as he will know & have ‘lived’ with the consequences of Neal’s choices, which WILL change their relationship- as before he felt his father had never done anything wrong- Henry blamed Emma for not telling him etc. (As he had no idea what happen between them). Now he knows the exact reason why she didnt tell him & understands it, so I think Neal will have a lot of explaining to do! I also want to see Charming/Snow go all ‘he did what now?!’ about it as well- the fact they dont seem to care is a little out of character for them IMO (unless they dont know, which is my assumption atm).

Yes indeed. I have 2 sons and my husband and I work excessively – the more positive role models the better. The more people keep and eye on them, influencing them, keeping them busy and out of trouble the better. And you are so right… its forever ago but I remember confiding in my aunt but i would never ever think to tell my mom such things. We all go through phases like that. And with the wacky world that is EF/SB I think Henry can use plenty of ears to bend – especially one that is not a parent. And Hook would be a great sounding board for Henry…with 300 years under his belt, he has walked the straight and narrow, he has veered way off course to the dark and lonely chase after vengeance, he has played adversaries and allies alike, strived towards redemption, gone on a hero’s quest and saved the damsel – that turns him down repeatedly. What doesn’t he have experience with. I can see him being easy to talk to for Henry, being approachable and non judge-mental.

    Agree with you both 1000%!

The Sweet 16 is over and we managed to make it out by the skin of our teeth! Unfortunately we lost a man this round but a lot of Oncers from all the ships tried scrambling at the last moment to save Snowing it just wasn’t enough :/

Elite 8 starts at 10amPST that’s 1 EST or 5pm GMT this is the toughest round any of the teams will have so we need to get started early
