so when Hook was telling his story of the little birdie bringing the note… he said that he was sailing the realms… as in other kingdoms or other worlds? so if its other worlds how was he world hopping and if he was just in FTL and just sailing about the different kingdoms – how did he get to our world. And were the heck is the JR
I was rewatching this morning and thought the same thing! Sailing the realms? What? I thought it was supposed to be so difficult to cross realms and he’s just floating around them? I thought yes, his ship was enchanted (was it? How/when?) but needed a portal to get from realm to realm. WHAT was our pirate doing during that year – besides pining for a certain blonde?!
I’m thinking however he got here, it wasn’t via the JR. I’m still hanging onto my thought that he somehow lost the ship to Blackbeard in some trade for whatever he needed to get to Emma. Giving up one ‘home’ for his ‘true home’. Sigh. Swoon. Sigh…….and yes, I know we see it in a future episode in SB, but perhaps he left BB with some leftover vendetta and BB tries to get revenge in SB. Or something like that. But still, he traded the JR for whatever he needed to get to Emma. That’s my headcannon and I’m sticking to it! 🙂

You guys all NEED to read this meta. Warning, it’s very, very long but seriously, it’s worth it.
The part I love the most, is We know that 3×17 is called “The Jolly Roger” it is the Hook centric episode that takes place in the lost year. Hook has to fight Blackbeard for his ship. He tells David in New York City Serenade (Aka the season 3b blueprint) that the Jolly Roger is his home. I’m guessing that this is the episode where Hook realizes he doesn’t give a monkey’s butt whether or not he has his ship, all he cares about is Emma, that she is his home. Interesting that Hook will have his own dilemma over his “home.”
Lol I actually meant his drawers… because I too believe that our dashing pirate does indeed go commando and yes I volunteer if that ever needs to be confirmed by an eye witness.
Obisgirl I think you nailed it… that would be perfect… not that we want to see Hook lose the JR but it makes sense. besides Emma that ship is everything to hook and no one will be able to doubt his feelings if he traded his home to bring Emma back to SB and to him. good point about that captain charming scene about the JR and home… nice pick up on A E’s
Maybe hook doesn’t run into BY but is seeking him out to try and negotiate for a bean.
I want to see hooks missing year… they should make it a little humorous. .. Hook on the subway , at a restaurant trying to pay with treasure, a dude where’s my car scene at the drive through…
