I think it’s interesting that Mystery Man has a collection of clocks just like Henry does and Mr. Gold does. Hmmm…I know people are saying he’s the White Rabbit, but that screams Baelfire to me. Like father, like son, like grandfather. 😉

I think i would feel cheated if it were Gold. The fact that MRJ’s character knew what it meant would imply that he had been in concact with whoever sent it at least enough to know about the curse. and if Bae was exchanging letters with Rumple, i think it would lessen the big confrentation, which would kind of be really dissipointing–i’ve been looking foward to the fireworks for a while now.
Not to get all Biblical referencey on this, but i sort of thought about Noah. When Noah sends a dove out of the door of the ark and it returns with an olive branch. Then Noah knew that the waters were receding and that it was safe to find land. Sort of out there, but the title the dove just made me think of the story.
I thought about that, hjbau. I think the dove was just sent out into the world and it would find its mark by fate, magic, or the curse. I don’t necessarily think the sender knew exactly where the dove would land. They just wanted the message to get out to the person it needed to get to.
