I definitely think the Dragon is Lily’s father. Timeline adds up…he lost a daughter “a long time ago”, came to our world to find her before Regina cast the curse, and was around in our world for 28 years (since he met August and Tamara when Emma rolled into Storybrooke). The SA could have very well told him of the events that took place.
We only need to know the Price he paid, and the story behind how Lily got the moon-shaped necklace from her father.

This is a thing that was supposed to be impossible, though goodness knows the writers are flexible on that point.
As for the timeline, it might add up but it depends on how long we thought the Dragon was in our world. Long enough to business and to establish himself as a wise man. Lily was sent through the portal to our world less than nine months before the Curse. And it would take time for the Dragon to learn about Lily’s vanishing and to figure out where she went. So like I said, it adds up *if* we don’t think about it too hard.

I don’t think it’s what the writers originally planned (if they actually had anything planned at all) and I’m not sure it makes a lick of sense from many standpoints–race, the timeline–but yeah, it’s Lily.
When it comes to race, I’m guessing they’ll easily shrug it off as “it’s a dragon thing”.
That means that Lily is half-Asian, half-white, was born as a Latina, and then grew into being fully white as an adult. Oh, dragon DNA must be a killer to study lol. But yeah, at this stage I’m just going to go with it. I’m sure this wasn’t even thought out well by the writers beforehand. I mean clearly Lily had some significance from her first appearance but I wonder if they knew specifically she was the daughter of maleficent and the daughter of the dragon.
Also…how could the dragon have lost her? With all his great magical powers, he couldn’t just find her through scrying or something? Its a bit hard to believe.

The real question is will they actually show us a reunion or was this just a little easter egg to appease fans?

I considered the latter a possibility too.
