I think the flitting wings at the end are meant to be the same butterfly seen at the start, which I’m gonna guess is meant to resemble Emma, because the butterfly flies away from the castle and out of FTL (ie: baby Emma), and then at the end we see Emma coming back to the same castle, where her parents are.

The dragon is intriguing. I’m inclined to agree that it symbolises Tamara in some way, given that we’ve seen her zap the Dragon, which could have potentially been her stealing his power.

This is really fascinating! I don’t think it has any other purpose other than to tease the finale. I too think the Dragon/dragon is a product of the magic Tamara stole from the Dragon in Hong Kong. It blows my theory that Rumple is helping the Charmings –it definitely looks like Rumple, Hook and Regina are together and are going against Emma and Henry. At least they are chasing them, which looks kind of bad. Would Rumple and Hook be working together so soon after the whole Murder by Hook fiasco? This is going to be great and bless them for giving us a few crumbs this week.

Uh? What is Rumpel doing with Regina AND Hook!? The only way Rumpel would go after Emma/Henry is if something bad happens to either Belle or Bael 😕

I’m picking they chose that ‘style’ for the promo is many of that particular bands (Of Monsters & Men) music vids are done in that particular style I guess- I got hooked watching those after seeing this promo vid & tracking down the song lol 😉
In fact some of the vids are so intriguing I was only watching the vids because the songs made sense when played over the vids- like a mini movie or sorts, but almost none at all when listening to them without the vids 😕 Esp liked the one with the glowing fractal hare/rabbit & tuna/marlin thingys- called Kings & Lionheart.

Rumple would be after Henry because Henry is the “undoing” of him/darkone.

I got more of a feeling that the dragon thing (which at 1st I thought looked more like the Yaoguai, but has to be ‘the dragon’ as that makes way more sense), which having come out of the ‘magic smoke’ is Tamara, was taking down Rumple, Regina & then Hook while after Emma & Henry….Of course that would imply that those 3 bite the dust & I cant see that happening, so I think they were chosen for being the most popular villains 😉

Another random thought…it could represent Bael’fire’, since it is bellowing fire & chasing Emma & Henry all the way to FTL/Snowing Castle/Home…maybe he got turned by Tamara- either accidentally or on purpose, Or even while trying to stop Rumple using magic or something etc…just a random, out there, delving waaaaaaaay to deep into what I’m sure is meant as a ‘fun little’ promo, thought lol 😉

The other thing that strikes me as weird, is the fact it’s just the head of the beast…were is the body? 😕 Surely it wouldn’t have blown the budget to have a ‘whole’ beast/dragon thing (even if a little smaller). It kind of reminds me of that old saying ‘cut off the head of the snake’, but in this case rather than it removing the most dangerous opponent, said opponent came right on back & as dangerous as ever… magically 😐

I wouldn’t take this animation literally, but that is my opinion. To me it looks more like an overview, summary, not something showing what will come but more presenting the idea of the show. An appetizer. There are good guys (Emma, Henry, Snow, Charming), bad guys, who of course attack the good ones, are after them (Rumple, Regina, Hook and a dragon, be that Maleficent or whoever). And the cloud is magic, more of a threat to the good guys than helping them. There is a castle, there are woods, there is a town with a clock tower. It’s a fairy tale show, with action, fun and heroes, and some famous characters (although Hook might be the only one people knowing nothing about OUaT recognize simply because of the hook)

Of course there still could be one or two hints in it.

I like the style, like a movable book, or pop up book. Maybe someone here remembers the beginning of the Disney movie “Enchanted? They should make one for OUaT, for real, to sell, limited version by a good artist – could be a hit as collectible.

I was thinking something along the same lines as Myril earlier this morning. I’m not sure we should take it literally anymore (except the dragon. That thing we should analyze!) But with Rumple, Regina and Hook chasing Emma and Henry I think it may just be as simple as they are the three “villains” outside Tamara and also three incredibly popular characters on the show. Apart from Belle and Ruby, they basically showed the core cast in various locations.

Agreed. Those of us who are spoilerwhores read into everything. But looking at it simply, it’s two of the good guys trying to run to safety, with the 3 big villains of the show apparently after them, which is to be expected. The wildcard is that dragon, representing an even bigger bad, chasing after them all.

Sort of an odd title they gave it. Fighting for SB…by running away from it?

Makes me wonder too. Although think ABC promo for OUaT are not really known for being show experts or for sophisticated subtleties. 😈
