It cracked me up when Belle had to communicate with a “professor” on the internet (turned out to be Rumple) to translate the spell that would release the fairies from the magic hat. When the spell was performed, no words were spoken. The dagger was just waived over the hat, as it was before. What was the translation for?
Different spells call for different ways they’re enacted. The translation was probably for a foreign language or ancient language Belle was not familiar with.
