I guess my only comment would be that in the Disney story, Hook was always overcome and beat by Peter Pan, but he never gave up scheming and coming after him. If you consider that, he is actually playing that character quite well, only I don’t think he is a codfish.

AHAHAHAHAHA!
Also, to what Phee said a few pages back: I love the idea that Ariel is a resident of Neverland. It would make perfect since there is a Mermaid Lagoon. It would also cut down on the number of worlds they need to create and help reduce stress on our brains trying to keep all this information inside our heads. And, it might explain why we’ve haven’t seen Ariel in SB yet IF the residents of Neverland weren’t directly affected by the curse.

😆 😆 That would be all kinds of awesome if that were reference on the show.
I found these on tumblr
captain hook/killian jones – a series of unfortunate events
Captain Hook + GroundsHook Slide 😆

I think the point is that there is higher ground the writers could be reaching for, and they’re not. Yeah, a character’s story is what it is, but I think they’re wasting a chance to make his story (and the character) meaningful and socially productive.

But if he was all that, he wouldn’t be any FUN. The fact he is such a misfit is part of his charm. Look at Jack Sparrow, He goes flat on his face, gets punched and behaves like a lunatic. And we LOVE him (being portrayed by Johnny Depp of course helps) Same goes for Hook, he is a charmer and a cad. Please let him stay that way. There are enough serious people in Storybrooke as it is. Part of me wishes a full blown Rumpel in Storybrooke, Gold is far more vindictive and sinister, Rumpel is vindictive too, but with flair and a cackle.

I just couldn’t get into that. If that’s where they’re going, wasting what they’ve got and turning Hook into a comedy routine, then I’m out.
March 3, 2013 at 12:07 am #176278craxyfoxParticipantI agree with SpinningGold, and I don’t think they’re turning hook into a comedy routine at all!
The guy just does things on impulse and the consequences usually end up with him hitting the floor, but the man gets results either way; are we forgetting he managed to hurt rumple twice? 🙂We have seen the side of him that is a man filled with loss, pain and thirsting for revenge, but I love how he is still a charmer no matter how bad things can be
The show isn’t done with him yet! 🙂 and neither am I 😆March 3, 2013 at 1:30 am #176285Killian JonesParticipant@craxyfox wrote:

I can see him ending up helping Emma against Regina and Cora just out of spite for screwing him over lol.
March 4, 2013 at 9:17 am #176817spinninggoldParticipantWell at least he got one back on the Charmings (knocking David out… WITH A CANE… useful weapons, those things, maybe he and Rumpel could go for a cane fight) before cuddling the floor again, as he attempted to kill my dearie.
Hmmm David seems to love the floor a lot too. You think they made them outta candy? *yum, gimme some floor* 😆 😆 😆 -
