So I think everyone agrees that at the end-ish scene when Mary and Emma are fighting Jefferson and he falls (or is ninja kicked) out the window he is transported through the hat. Also people seem to agree that the character is going to show up again. For him to show up again in storybooke wouldnt he come back through the hat, if you watch Emma (at the end of this scene) when she goes to her car, she puts the hat in the passenger seat of her car…. so it follows that when he reappears in storybrooke and comes out of the hat he is either going to be in her car or wherever she put the hat, what do you think she did with it. I feel like the writters wanted us to see that she kept the hat but didnt want to make it obvious. Also i think there could be a really funny scene where she is just driving down the road and swhissshhhhhh (magical sound effects) there’s Jefferson, while unlikely I think that would be HALARIOUS!

When they showed the clip of Emma’s car sliding in a promo it just made me think about Jefferson popping out of the hat. There is no evidence that was what was happening in that scene it just made me think of how funny that would be.
I know. Can’t you just see it. Emma driving down the road. Leaving town. Having just left Henry. I have no idea why she would do that, but that is just how i imagine it. Really upset. And then out pops Jefferson from the hat. Emma screams and slams on the brakes and the car fishtails. It just seems comical to me. Oh great now i am going to laugh if something like that happens. It would be awesome.
The possibility are endless, maybe she left the hat laying around in the sheriffs station and he’ll pop out around another character..Henry? Regina? Gold? Haha picturing each reaction… It’s totally priceless, any way Ill be really disappointed if his return is boring and unwitnessed!!
It was obvious that Jefferson’s escape through the hat was cursed. He ended up in a sea of hats in a place that looks like an abandoned church sanctuary. I wonder if that location is merely a few blocks away in SB. If so, he won’t return through the hat. He’ll realize where he is and walk out the door and go back to his big house. Meanwhile the hat will continue to function magically if Emma believes in it and she will be able to use it to her advantage in breaking the curse.
??? huh??? That last scene with the hats is a flash back showing how he became the mad hatter, I dont think we know where Jefferson showed up when he teleported out of SB….

When we last left Jefferson in FTL, he was beheaded and stuck in Wonderland. Before that he was living in poverty with his daughter and paying a visit to the EQ with his magical hat. I don’t see how his sitting in that sea of hats fits into the FTL timeline. So ???huh??? for me too 😀
😕 I thought that scene was supposed to be in wonderland, showing that he got his head sown back on then set furiously to work trying to make a hat that would get him home to Grace, his determination to get home mixed with the queen of hearts threats (and maybe some mercury from the hats) turns him into the mad hatter we all know and love. Basically that scene is just another flash back taking place before the EQ’s curse.
