Now that we have the actual video of the D23 panel…
…and we can see specifically what was said about Eric…
Eddy – We’re really excited to just focus on the people on that ship and our core characters and we’re not going to introduce a lot of characters this first 11 episodes. We’re really gonna focus and get deeper with the ones we already love.
Interviewer – Well you may not introduce, but you may have mentioned backstage that we may get to meet another character from The Little Mermaid. Like maybe Ursula?
Eddy – Well you never know because on our show, ya never know who really is Ursula.
Adam – I’d say there’s a good chance at seeing Ursula.
Eddy – Or at least our version.
Adam – Our version. And ya know, along those lines, there’s a good chance of seeing a guy named Eric.Key words here are “along those lines” when they were just talking about Ursula probably being not just Ursula. So Eric probably isn’t just gonna be Eric? And they’re not planning to bring in more characters yet? I know I’m totally watching this through shipper goggles, but I’m just sayin’, given the topic of that part of the conversation, it didn’t exactly imply that “Eric” was gonna be his own, whole, new character, in fact, quite the opposite.
That totally sounds like Eric is someone we already know 🙂 Like a certain good looking pirate 🙂

Gerhardt and PapaFrankenstein didn’t show up until ep 12, In The Name of the Brother. Though, I guess Gerhardt was kinda sorta in The Doctor, it’s just we only saw a body under a sheet. And yep, Quinn was the other wolf’s name.
Yeah, I realised I made a mistake with Gerhardt and PapaFrankenstein just as I was getting ready to go to work so I didn’t have to correct it but yeah, my bad.
So we had 10 newbies introduced in the first 11 episodes last season. This season we’re having:
Tinkerbell
Peter Pan
Robin Hood- I know he was in Lacey but it’s a new guy so it may as well be a new character.
Ariel
Eric-Maybe
Ursula-MaybeThat’s only 5/6 characters which is a lot less than last year. I don’t think they’d do both Eric and Ursula as other characters. One maybe. What if they let CaptainSwanFire play out before they reveal that Hook is Eric? That way they can keep up the “who will Emma choose” factor without it being pointless.

Keeper of FelixI think when Ariel debuts in OUAT in the first half it will be in a very minor role. They are going to let CSF play out and then reveal more of Hook’s backstory because I suspect that Ariel might find her way to SB with our crew. In my headcanon, Ariel really hates NL because of how dark it is. But she will be drawn to the JR6 because of their goodness and wish to be among them.

I like the idea that Ariel goes with them. They need to bring some twist versus Tiny, who afterall loved Human objects, was fascinated and was the youngest sibling.
Now it is a funny coincidence that Jorge Garcia played him, and a different J. Garcia plays Ariel

I hope we get confirmation that she’s showing up in ep 6 because if they start delving into Hook’s story more in ep 5, it may bode well for Hookriel if they’re introducing her immediately after.
