The Hookriel/FishHook Relationship Thread

I know, but I can’t think of it except as alternate universe now.    Ariel and Eric are so sweet, and Hook’s gone in a different direction as well and for all we know, they WILL make Ariel his mother now.   I wouldn’t be surprised.  Nothing surprises me now with this show.   Papa Pan was on the table, so anything else could be as well.

My current headcanon:

Mermaids can travel between worlds and I think “Blackbeard” is really Davy Jones–the lord of the deep, the man who ferries souls across to the other side. (See PotC 2 and 3). I think Hook is going after a lost soul–literally. I think he needs Ariel’s help to retrieve a lost soul, Nealfire. (or maybe I’m insane. I don’t know.)

In regards to my headcanon above

I just went to a a read a plot synopsis about On Stranger Tides (mermaids and blackbeard and CaptainHook/JackSparrow):

Jack is taken aboard Blackbeard’s ship, the Queen Anne’s Revenge, and forced to lead the way to the Fountain and find two silver chalices that once belonged to Juan Ponce de León, both believed to be aboard his lost ship. The Fountain’s water must be drunk simultaneously from the two chalices. The person drinking from the chalice containing a mermaid’s tear has their life extended, while the other person dies, their life drained from their body and their remaining years ‘donated’ to the other. Meanwhile, Gibbs narrowly escapes execution by memorizing and destroying Jack’s map, forcing Barbossa to spare him so he could navigate to the Fountain.

I can already smell the gifsets and edits that this ep will provide for our little corner of the fandom. LOL

Remember with the Good Form flashbacks how we sorta freaked out about how the buildings in the background looked like they might be matchy with Eric’s kingdom? Wonder if there could be some merit to that theory? Eric’s gonna be in 317 as well, at least briefly, (seems like Ariel’s gonna be in it more, because I think Gil already left town). Maybe flashing back to Hook’s early days as a pirate will tie him to Eric’s ancestor, and then in present day it’ll be Eric’s girlfriend who helps set Hook back to a healthier mindset? Ariel will surely have to have some positive influence on him in present day, how can he hang out with someone so sweet and friendly and not have that rub off on him a bit?

RG, I am very intrigued by this talk of retrieving lost souls and Davy Jones. Hmmmmmm.

I have more respect for the writers then to rip off a plotline from a very bad movie so here’s hoping they don’t do that.

I wonder if they’re gonna use Ariel the same way they used Tink,lol. How people were like Tink/Hook have really good chemistry and then we get the whole “You didn’t do this for yourself or revenge, it was for Emma” basically making Tinkerbell a CS fan. Wonder if they’ll do the same with Ariel, here’s hoping they don’t.

Why put down admittedly-crack ships? I’m not even a Hookriel shipper (I actually prefer Eric and Ariel together), but I still see the fun of theorizing about fun, AU ships.
