After re-watching ep. 7 The Heart is a Lonely Hunter, I started to wonder about Graham’s dream of his wolf guide. He said, “Its eyes: one was blood red and the other was black as night.”
Does anyone else wonder if the eyes were a reference to Snow White, whose hair is dark as night and lips as red as blood, according to the Disney version? The red blood could also be a reference to Red Riding Hood. In the previews for episode 15, it seems as if both of those awesome women are joining forces to take on the Big Bad Wolf. I still don’t know if Dr. Whale is the bad wolf, whether it’s Graham’s wolf guide, or still yet another character entirely.
It seems like Graham’s wolf is entirely good though, guiding Graham to remember his FTL past in SB, just as Henry said in ep. 7. Regina also feared when Graham told her his dream about a wolf. Also, in the pilot episode, we saw the wolf guide in the middle of the road, preventing Emma from leaving SB. It seems to want Emma to stay in town. What if Graham’s wolf guide is a “Good Wolf” who helps Snow White and Red Riding Hood take on the Big Bad Wolf in ep. 15? My mind is racing with possibilities. Thoughts?

I had never thought of that connection. I always thought of the Huntsman’s wolf (in the real world anyway), much like spirit guides. They show a person his/her proper path.
I like the idea that Snow helps Red a lot. I also like the idea that the huntsman is somehow involved or that it was his wolf or that he was sent by the queen to attack the village. Something like that.
@ hubau: I don’t think it was the Huntsman’s wolf who attacked the village, but maybe he comes to the aid of Snow and Red.

Yeah i don’t like that idea either.I just thought that possibly the queen could order the huntsman to attack the villagers with the wolf. And if no one has ever seen the beast then who knows if it is a man or a wolf, but if it was the huntsman there would still be wolf tracks.
Maybe there is a man who gets turned into a monster at like a full moon time or something. I think that i want there to be a man behind it and it just not be a wolf, but i guess a wolf is still interesting conflict.
I agree with obisgirl. I thought Graham’s wolf was really just his wolf (and that it was immune from the curse) and that because Graham had figured out that he wasn’t really feeling anything, the wolf was guiding him toward the truth. The closeness he had with his wolf in FTL had been reawakened in Storybrooke. So in a way Graham was very close to figuring out the truth on his own – probably because he was starting to fall for Emma and was just starting to fall for him. I think that is part of Emma’s ability to break the curse. Not necessarily the kissing part, but that she let down her guard and allowed herself to care for someone. I don’t really think it was the kiss that made Graham remember. He had flashes of memory the first time he kissed her – when she was obviously interested in him because she was jealous of Regina. Then the wolf played a bigger role and showed him what he needed to see to figure out more of his real story. But when Emma realized that Graham didn’t really want Regina and that he was going to choose her, and she allowed herself to realize that she did really care about him, THEN when they kissed in the Sheriff’s office THAT was when he remembered EVERYTHING. Aside from Graham she hasn’t allowed herself to let her guard down with anyone else – not even Henry yet really. So the whole “True love’s kiss can break any curse” might be referring to Emma. But it might be that she needs to totally let her guard down in general and be willing to believe and trust people like Henry and Mary Margaret and maybe August. Maybe get over her insecurity of being adopted and unwanted. Once she had reached that point and THEN kisses someone she truely loves – then maybe the curse will be broken.
Aww, that’s just cute. I’m a really cheesy girl, but I truly hope, it doesn’t end up so cheesy. 😆 I mean, the whole story is a fairy tale itself, but still I hope breaking the curse doesn’t require a kiss.
I like your, rumplegoldfankristi, theory of how Graham remembered, anyway.I dislike the kissing as the way out of the curse as well. I would rather it has something to do with the objects that are connected to different characters like the wolf or Snow’s ring or such. Maybe it was really the wolf that made the Sheriff remember.

I like this idea. I also like the idea that maybe there is a person behind it all who is either cursed and morphs into a wolf or just a person period. And maybe Graham’s wolf is tracking him.
Also there is another thread (Killing the Wolf started by Mia) that about the wolf that suggests maybe Snow uses the whistle the huntsman gave her and either receives help from Graham’s wolf or controls the big bad wolf. lots of ideas:)
