I just finished my rewatch of the pilot and the Knave is constantly saying that he left WL for a reason and that many people want him dead–and more to the point, they actually have good reasons for it.
So what is the Knave’s history with WL? He’s the Knave of Hearts so I’m assuming he worked for Cora at some point. Did he guard people’s hearts? Did he take them?

So many questions, and I’m pumped to find out.
He seems like the type who will do anything for a price. He was about to walk away from Alice until she said she’d pay him, and after he put the cash down for the coffee in Granny’s, he picked it up again. So he seems to have a selfish streak. I could see him having been a mercenary type, working for and screwing over anyone who was willing to pay him, and that’s why so many people in WL justifiably want him dead.
Really curious to see how and why he jumped between worlds, and what his position as Knave of Hearts involved.
Why did he end up in Storybrook?(This is a big one IMO)
I’m assuming he was cursed for the past 28 years and just now woke up. This would mean one of two things
1) He was in WL buy Regina brought him over which would indicate that they know each other
2) He was in the EF at the time of the curse and not in Cora’ bubble.

If he has been involved with double crossing people and whatnot in the past, it’ll be interesting to see how he reacts when it’s revealed that the Rabbit is currently a pawn of the RQ. On the one hand, he’d be super pissed that he got dragged back to WL by being lied to and used. On the other hand, maybe he’s been in Rabbit’s position himself in the past, so isn’t really in a position to get high and mighty about having been lied to.
Did anyone get the sense that Cyrus and Jafar have more than just a passing acquaintance? Jafar wants the wishes but why *those* wishes?

We already know the Knave of Hearts (i.e. Will) is a thief, since he stole Alice’s shoes with the wishes. Also, I believe in the original tale of “The Adventures of Alice in Wonder” and/or its sequel “Through the Looking Glass” the Knave of Hearts had stolen the queen’s tarts, which could easily be changed to him stealing the queen’s hearts.
Also, according to spoilers, the Knave of Hearts is actually one of Robin Hood’s merry men. His real name is Will, which means he is probably Will Scarlett. He might have been stealing from the rich (the queen of WL), then he escaped, and Robin Hood recruited him to steal from the rich to give to the poor .

Will also seemed to know that Jefferson was in SB too. He mentions that the Hatter has made a nice little life for himself back in the place he was making his own, where the dragonflies aren’t actually dragons.
If the events of the pilot were when the wraith was released which was shortly after the curse was broken and if Knave came from EF before the curse, How did Knave run into Jefferson and have a chat with him so quickly? Did Knave seek him out for some reason, or did he just run into him on the street?
